| While the Internet has brought many conveniences to people’s lives, its negative effects, such as network deviation behaviors, have also become increasingly prominent, which has attracted the attention of researchers.Network deviation behavior is an individual’s behavior that violates or destroys the network behavior norms in the process of using the network.Network deviation behavior is not only a frontier issue of network psychology, but also a social hot spot that people pay attention to.This research is based on the I-PACE model proposed by Brand et al.discusses the characteristics of network deviation behavior;the influence of psychological entitlement on network deviation behavior and its mechanism. In this study,731 college students were surveyed using the psychological entitlement scale, the adolescent network deviant behavior scale and the Fear of Missing Outs scale. The results found that:(1)College students’ network deviance behavior and its three dimensions are all at a low-moderate level;the level of psychological entitlement of college students is close to medium;the fear of missing outs of college students is close to the middle and lower levels.(2)There are significant gender differences in college students’ online deviant behavior and its three dimensions.Male college students’ online deviant behavior and its three dimensions are significantly higher than female college students. There were significant differences in place of residence for Internet aggression and Internet pornography. The internet aggressive behavior and internet pornography of urban college students are significantly higher than those of rural college students.while the difference of residence of internet fraud and internet deviant behavior is not significant.College Student Network Deviant behavior and its three dimensions are not significant in subject differences, grade differences, and single parent or not.(3)Psychological entitlement significantly positively predicts online deviant behavior.(4)Psychological entitlement indirectly predicts network deviant behavior through the mediating effect of fear of missing outs.(5)Gender modulates the path of psychological entitlement predicting network deviant behavior through fear of missing outs.Specifically, male college students with high psychological entitlement are more inclined than female college students Because of fear of missing outs college students with high fear of missing outs are more inclined to have network deviant behaviors. |
