| In this contemporary society, there is a great demand for those people with the ability to learn independently and innovate, while the focus of independent learning is on after-school study habits.Children are the source of hope,so it is better for them to develop their study habits as early as possible, especially at the early school age.The country also pays great attention to the cultivation of pupil’ learning habits, the focus is not limited to the classroom but also extends to after-school.In addition, rural primary schools are the weak aspect of the balanced development of elementary education.Influenced by family circumstance and school climate, many students do not develop good study habits after school, and this will result in bad quality of homework and unsatisfactory academic performance.Consequently,it is especially important to study the factors affecting rural primary school students’ after-school study habits and pay attention to what kind of relationship exists between home supervision of learning,in-class study habits, and after-school study habits. The problems lying ahead of us can be listed as following: how to effectively coordinate these three relationships, and what teaching strategies and home education methods can be adopted to improve the current situation of rural elementary school students’ after-school study habits. To investigate the current situation of rural elementary school students’ after-school study habits and the influencing factors, this study poses two major research questions: First, what’s the current situation of rural elementary school students’ after-school study habits?
