Objective: The object of this study was middle class children in kindergarten.The independent variable was attachment play,and the dependent variable was children’s peer communication ability.This study explored whether the eight-week attachment play intervention can improve the peer communication ability of middle class children to some extent.Methods: This study adopted a single-subject experimental design(AB baseline).This study was divided into three stages.The first stage was from the first week to the fourth week,also known as the baseline period.In this stage,the researcher invited the head teacher to pretest the whole class of children by using the Teacher Questionnaire on Peer Communication Ability of Children Aged 4-6.The researcher calculated the score of the questionnaire test and selected the children who were lower than the average value of the class.Through interviewing with parents and head teachers about basic information of children and their peer communication ability,the four cases in this study were finally determined.During this period,the baseline level of dependent variables of the cases was understood through interviews and researchers’ natural observation records.The second phase was intervention period.In this period,the researcher attached to the game in this phase intervention plan.During this period,the researcher chose a fixed time every week to know the change of infant’s ability and used table observation,when the intervention was completed,the researcher invited the kindergarten head teacher to use the questionnaire again.The third phase,the researcher used the method of observation and interviewing to evaluate case infant’s ability to peer exchanges.After two weeks,the researcher invited the teacher to use questionnaire to assess,through analyzing the above results,in order to understand and analyze the changes of peer communication ability of children after the cessation of experimental intervention.Results: Through the comprehensive analysis of the intervention results of the four children,the peer communication ability of the four children in this study has been improved.Conclusion: Attachment play can improve the peer communication ability of middle class children to some extent.
