Children's peer communication ability is an important part of their socialization and one of their most important social communication ability.It can help children get rid of self-centeredness,enhance their emotional support,promote their pro-social behavior,social communication ability,social cognition and other aspects of development,and has an important impact on the development of children's social communication ability.The kindergarten education guidelines on a trial basis,will be happy to communicate with people,learning,mutual assistance and cooperation and sharing,caring as one of the goals of the social realm,teachers should guide the children to learn preliminary interpersonal skills,interpersonal preschool children opportunities and conditions of the mutual exchanges and mutual activities,and to guide them.Picture books is a good carrier of early childhood reading,in the picture books are rich and beautiful language,a vivid picture,around the education activity the excellent picture books,not only helps children to imitate in the peer exchanges,experience the story characters of positive interactions,also can improve their social initiatives in the interaction,language social intercourse ability and so on.This study mainly applies the experimental method to carry out the intervention on the peer communication ability of middle class children in picture book reading.In this study,two middle classes of a kindergarten in Shanghai were selected as the research objects,which were divided into experimental class and control class.In practice,the peer communication ability scale of children aged 4-6 years old was used to pretest the research objects respectively.Then,the children in the experimental class were involved in the activity of communicating with thematic picture book reading for 6 weeks,while the control class did not participate in the activity.After the activity,the children in the control class and the experimental class were tested respectively.Through data collation and analysis,the development of peercommunication ability of the children in the control class and the experimental class was compared.The results showed that the intervention of picture book reading on children in the experimental class showed that the peer communication ability in the the experimental class was significantly improved compared with that in the pretest,and the improvement was significant in four aspects,including social initiative,verbal and nonverbal communication ability,social disorder and pro-social behavior.In addition,the board book reading has certain help to the promotion of children's language ability,at the same time makes the children with peer exchanges will further increase,also can help young children to use a variety of methods to solve and peer interaction in the process of problem,to further promote the increase of their communicative behavior,picture books to read as one of the important forms of the kindergarten language education activities,through vivid and interesting pictures and thematic stories,can promote the children's reading ability and language ability,and further improve the development of the student in young children's peer interaction ability.
