| After the reform and opening policy,Chinese economic and social development speed has increased significantly. At the same time, the gaps between the economic and development levels of various regions have gradually widened, forming a depression effect, that is,areas with developed economies are more attractive to floating population than underdeveloped areas. In addition,China has made active reforms and adjustments in the labor system, distribution system, household registration system, etc.,the social mobility between urban and rural areas is expanding, showing a trend of family migration. The development of children is often emphasized by families.Compared with other types of kunjing children, urban migrant kunjing children have not attracted much attention in academia. They are generally in a state of welfare exclusion caused by the isolation of the household registration system, and are deeply trapped in multiple difficulties such as medical treatment and education acquisition, but they still show strong adaptability under various challenges and pressures.Based on this, this study attempts to analyze the adaptation process of urban migrant kunjing children from the perspective of family resilience. This article employs mixed methods, with qualitative research as the main and quantitative research supplemented.Combined with family resilience theory and ecosystem theory, this study tries to explore the generation mechanism of urban migrant kunjing children’s family resilience. This research conducted in-depth interviews and scale tests to 8 families with urban migrant kunjing children in Tianjin’s X community, analyzed their family resilience performance, protective factors, and risk factors, and analyzed them from the micro, meso, and macro perspectives. This study used a three-tier system to analyze the ecological mechanism of family resilience of children in urban mobility difficulties, and deciphered the reasons why and how urban migrant kunjing children still maintained a high level of family resilience in the face of difficulties.Studies have found that the family resilience of urban migrant kunjing children is at a relatively normal level. They can not only actively respond to adversity and repair themselves from it,but also have the courage to challenge difficulties. The influencing factors of the family resilience of children in urban mobility difficulties are mainly divided into advantages and risk factors.Among them, advantage factors include firm personal beliefs, independent contributions of the family, and the dual support of external resources from industry and countryside.Risk factors include Individuals’ own capital needs to be built, family resources need to be offset, and social resources need to be linked. The research reverses the stereotype of poor resilience of children in distress, and proposes development suggestions to improve their family resilience. This research suggests that we should fully tap the potential of personal, family, and social support for urban migrant kunjing children, explore their own potentials, improve their local resources, link remote resources, and provide all-round support for the improvement of their family resilience. |
