This paper takes the study of the influence of early childhood gymnastics on the basic motor ability of children aged 3-6 years as the research object, with reference to the entry level in the newly promulgated "Chinese Gymnastics Program Grade Prescribed Moves and Scoring Standards",and exercises early childhood gymnastics for children aged 3-6 years;the purpose is to reveal the influence of early childhood gymnastics on the basic motor ability of children aged 3-6years,to explore the six basic motor abilities of early childhood gymnastics on children of different age stages The purpose is to reveal the effect of gymnastics on children’s basic motor skills at the age of 3-6,to investigate the effect of gymnastics on children’s six basic motor skills at different ages,to enrich the form of physical activities for children,to stimulate children’s interest in physical exercise,to better extend the physical education classroom, and to further improve the physical education curriculum at the early childhood stage. This paper adopts the literature method, the experimental method and the mathematical and statistical method to study the effect of early childhood gymnastics on the basic motor ability of children aged 3-6.The experiment was carried out at the Little Golden Star Kindergarten in Biocheng,Wuhan. The experiment was conducted with 196 students in the kindergarten for twelve weeks, with two classes per week and one class period each.Ten classes were randomly grouped into a control group and an experimental group,in which the experimental group was taught gymnastics while the control group was taught traditional sports games according to the normal syllabus. The data of children’s motor ability before and after the experiment were statistically analyzed to investigate whether early childhood gymnastics can effectively improve the basic motor ability of children aged 3-6 years old,and to provide some theoretical basis and decision-making reference for the popularization of early childhood gymnastics and the promotion of gymnastics program levels in China.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in the six basic motor ability indexes between the groups before the intervention experiment after t-test analysis. After the experimental intervention,t-test analysis of the six basic motor abilities was conducted again. In the secondary group, significant differences were found in the 10-meter jump(P=0.012<0.05),continuous double-leg jump(P=0.008<0.01)and balance beam(P=0.000<0.01).The results showed that for children aged3-6 years old, gymnastics had a significant effect in improving coordination, speed quality and balance ability.(2)The results of within-group comparisons before and after the experiment were as follows.Experimental group: the basic motor ability of the preparatory group was improved, especially the sitting forward bend was improved by 59.2%compared with that before the experiment;the basic motor ability of the first group was improved substantially, and the rate of improvement of sitting forward bend was 192.59%;the motor ability of the second group was improved by 45.94% compared with that before the experiment, and the continuous jump of both feet was improved by 22.2%.The basic motor ability of the control group also improved after 12 weeks of regular physical exercise, but the overall improvement was not as obvious as that of the experimental group.(3)Changes in motor ability levels before and after the experimental intervention between groups.Experimental group: the passing rate of the preparatory level group increased by 9.7%,and the good rate increased from 0 to 22%.The firstgrade group had a 25.7% decrease in the failure rate,a 20% decrease in the pass rate, and a 25.7% and 17.1% increase in the good and excellent rates, respectively. The second level group had a 22.8% decrease in the failure rate,a 13.7% decrease in the pass rate, and a 27.3% and 9.1%increase in the good and excellent rates, respectively. For the control group: the failure rate of the preparatory level group decreased by 25%,the pass rate increased by 10%,the good rate increased by 12.5%,and the excellent rate increased by 2.5%.The first level group had an 8.5% decrease in the failure rate,no increase in the pass rate, and a 2.8% increase in the good rate. The level 2 group had a34.8% decrease in the failure rate,a 30.5% increase in the pass rate,a 0.4%increase in the good rate, and no increase in the excellent rate.Conclusions:(1)In the actual implementation of the curriculum, the addition of gymnastics for young children to the physical education curriculum for young children is beneficial to the improvement of their basic motor skills. The gymnastics curriculum for young children is improved and innovated on the basis of the original traditional teaching, strengthening the characteristics of young children, and the effect of children’s motor ability improvement is more obvious.(2)For children aged 3.5-4 years old,the exercise of gymnastics helps to improve their coordination ability;for children aged 4.5-5 years old, gymnastics helps to develop the coordination quality, while the flexibility quality and balance ability are also significantly improved;for children aged 5.5-6years old,the quality of all aspects are improved, among which the balance ability, flexibility and agility quality are significantly The balance, flexibility and agility were all significantly improved.(3)Both regular physical activities of the experimental group and the control group can promote the growth of children’s basic motor ability, and the12-week gymnastics exercise for children can,to a certain extent, more effectively improve children’s movement learning ability, speed quality, coordination quality and balance ability.(4)The overall growth indexes of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the growth of good and excellent rates were more obvious. With the improvement of children’s basic motor ability, their physical health was also gradually enhanced.
