Life-oriented Mathematics is an important component of the special school curriculum system,which lays an important foundation for students to adapt to life and society.Number and Operation takes up the largest proportion of the Life-oriented Mathematic.The Life-oriented Mathematics of the Ministry Edition has been put into use since 2017,but its service life is short,and relevant researches have not been widely carried out.The purpose of this research is to comprehend the teaching actuality of Number and Operation in the Life-oriented Mathematics of the Ministry Edition in the first learning period,explore the teaching effect of the new textbook,and provide effective suggestions for curriculum implementation,using textbook and teaching development.At the same time,it also enriched the research of mathematics textbook and teaching of special school,which has reference value for the construction of curriculum system and the follow-up improvement of new textbook of the special school.On the basis of literature review and interviews with famous teachers,three dimensions were identified: the use of textbook,teaching influencing factors and teaching effects.The self-compiled questionnaire was distributed to 113 teachers who had used the Life-oriented Mathematics of the Ministry Edition.The findings are as follows:(1)Textbook usage: The teachers who use the Life-oriented Mathematics in first learning period generally organize the teaching of Number and Operation according to the textbook,and make adjustments according to the actual situation;Fewer opportunities for teachers to receive professional study,especially about the Life-oriented Mathematics;It is difficult for teachers to understand the train of textbooks,they need the support of reference books;The greatest advantage of the new textbooks is that the content is close to the actual life of students,and accords with the requirements of the curriculum standard.(2)Teaching influencing factors: The influence of the factor of student on the organization and implementation of teaching activities is greater than the factor of textbook,teachers and other factors,and there is significant difference among the four factors.(3)Teaching effects: The degree of students’ disability has a great influence on the teaching effect,the more serious the degree,the worse the effect;There was no significant difference in the effect among different types of disability,and there was little difference in the effect among the teaching contents of Number and Operation,the Number was slightly better than the Operation,among which Ordinal Numeral and Numerical Comparison were more difficult to master;On the whole,students have great participation,well goal’s completion,and poor knowledge application.Based on the research results,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)For textbooks: Enrich mating resources;Provide variegated teaching tools;Compile supporting workbooks.(2)For teachers: Read up the curriculum standards of the Life-oriented Mathematics;Deeply understand the intention of textbook compilation;Explore teaching content and objectives;Improve academical professional ability and level.(3)For students: Strengthen home-school communication and attach importance to family education;Carry out social practice to strengthen the application of knowledge;Carry out Group instruction or class division teaching according to students’ disability degree;Adjust the difficulty of the task to suit students’ disability degree.(4)Other aspects: Organize training on interpretation of the curriculum standards of the Life-oriented Mathematics and the use of textbook;Regularly carry out open class and other activities;Establish cooperation among colleges and special schools to guide teaching and researching;Establish more practice bases to enrich life-oriented practice activities.Conclusion: Number and Operation in the Life-oriented Mathematics of the Ministry Edition accords with students’ cognitive characteristics and learning needs.Most students can achieve the teaching objectives,but the use of knowledge is poor.The degree of disability has the greatest influence on the teaching effect,it is necessary to strengthen training and improve the teaching implementation level. |
