The 19 th CPC National Congress report emphasized that education must be given pri ority,education reform must be deepened,education modernization must be speeded up,and people's satisfaction should be well managed.Being the fundamental element of edu cation,promoting classroom teaching reform is to promote education reform and improv e education efficiency.Life-oriented teaching is an important part of classroom teaching reform,and it is also a necessary way to help people to be well educated.Therefore,it is articularly urgent to implement life-oriented teaching.In order to better study problems and countermeasures in mathematics teaching of j unior middle schools in Yulin city,this paper adopts three research methods to explore th e status quo of mathematics teaching in junior middle schools in Yulin City.They are lite rature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview.First,through the visits in three junio r high schools in Yulin City about the mathematical life-oriented teaching,questionnaires according to the basic conditions of the visit for students and teachers were respectively prepared.Second,some of the mathematics teachers were selected to conduct personal in terviews on issues such as views and suggestions on mathematics life-oriented teaching.Finally,through the statistics and analysis of survey data,combined with the actual situat ion of teaching,it was found that there are several prominent problems in the developme nt of junior high school mathematics teaching from four aspects: teachers,students,scho ols and education administration.In the teaching process,teachers need to continuously strengthen the students' ability to c ombine math textbooks with life practice,inspire students' own learning motivation;teac hers must strengthen their own educational concepts and update their ability to teach;sch ools must improve the infrastructural facilities of life-oriented teaching,and in combination with the school's own characteristics,formulate a scientific and rational teaching syste m and give teachers active and correct guidance in life-oriented teaching;education admi nistration must adopt top-level design,increase capital investment,combine the going-ou t and bringing-in policies,etc..
