| With the continuous application of data in education,people gradually realize the value of data visualization.Data visualization explains the data in the form of images,charts,etc.,and improves the efficiency of reading and understanding data.Teachers’ data visualization ability is an essential quality for teachers in the data age.At present,primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy needs to be improved in the teaching process.The evaluation can accurately grasp the shortcomings of teachers’ data visualization literacy,so as to effectively improve teachers’ data visualization literacy.However,a developmental,localized and professional evaluation system for teachers’ data visualization literacy has not yet been formed.To sum up,the research object of this study is primary and secondary school teachers.This study develops and applies the data visualization literacy evaluation system for primary and secondary schools from the perspective of literacy evaluation.Based on teachers’ daily work situation,this study explores the basic composition of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy,forms a theoretical model of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy,develops evaluation tools and analysis templates of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy,and puts forward relevant application suggestions.Focus on the research objectives,this study focuses on four major issues: 1.how to construct the evaluation system of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy? 2.how to construct the theoretical model of the evaluation system of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy? 3.how to develop data visualization literacy assessment tools for primary and secondary school teachers? 4.how to analyze the results of the evaluation system for data visualization literacy of primary and secondary school teachers?In order to solve the above research problems,this study carried out he following research work:Firstly,the enlightenment of data visualization literacy development is obtained from the analysis of existing evaluation cases.The research follows the scientific process to construct the evaluation system of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy,which includes the theoretical model of data visualization literacy,the evaluation tool of data visualization literacy and the evaluation template to analyze the evaluation results.Then,this study adopts literature analysis to sort out the application situation of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy and the principles of developing teacher data visualization literacy system.Then,this study combined the existing data visualization model,teacher data literacy framework,factors affecting graphic understanding and visualization-related elements in previous studies to sort out the key elements and abilities.This study had two rounds of expert consultation.After modification,this research formed the theoretical model of data visualization literacy of primary and secondary school teachers,including three-level dimensions of data visualization literacy,frame with knowledge dimension and ability dimension as horizontal and vertical axes and knowledge points.On this basis,this study formed a two-way list of questions according to the theoretical model.When compiling the original questions,two rounds of test were carried out,and the classical measurement theory was used to verify the quality of the assessment tool,and finally revised into a test paper containing 22 questions.Assessment tools include assessment papers and surveys of basic information.Finally,the research applies the data visualization literacy assessment tool of teachers.This study provides an analysis template for the results of data visualization literacy assessment tools and analyzes the level of data visualization literacy of surveyed teachers.The results show that there are differences in some attributes of teacher groups,among schools and so on,and according to these problems and differences,some suggestions on teacher data visualization literacy training are put forward.Finally,this study further puts forward suggestions on the application of the evaluation system of primary and secondary school teachers’ data visualization literacy in teacher training,personal development and school informatization development,so as to further enhance the professional improvement of data visualization literacy for teachers.The innovation of the research lies in that,based on the teachers’ daily work situation,the evaluation system of teacher data visualization literacy for primary and secondary school teachers is developed in line with the teachers’ discourse system.The evaluation method is simple and fast,and has high promotion value. |
