In 2010,Huang Weihe scholar introduced Pivotal Response Training to China.Since then,it is not difficult to find through the literature search that the relevant research on Pivotal Response Training has mostly concentrated on the level of translation of foreign books and theoretical research.However,there are only a handful of empirical studies that apply to Pivotal Response Training behavior modification in children with autism.On the other hand,there are abundant international studies on the Joint Attention of children with autism.However,domestic research on Joint Attention of autistic children,especially intervention research,is still scarce.Therefore,it is important to explore the intervention research of Pivotal Response Training for Joint Attention in children with autism.In this study,a cross-subject multi-baseline experimental design under a single subject was used to intervene the Joint Attention of two cases,in order to explore the effect of Pivotal Response Training on the Joint Attention of children with autism.The independent variable of the experiment is the Pivotal Response Training,and the dependent variable is the two target behaviors of the case’s Joint Attention: Responsive Joint Attention and Initiating Joint Attention.Among them,Responsive Joint Attention includes two target behaviors,instruction following and fixation following.Initiating Joint attention included gaze alternation,finger pointing and active display of three target behaviors.This study went through three stages: baseline period,intervention period and maintenance period,and the interview method and observation method were used to understand,observe,record and analyze the target behavior of the cases.Finally,visual analysis,time series analysis method combined with social validity(observer consistency,intervention loyalty and Interview results)were used to analyze the intervention effect of Pivotal Response Training on the Joint Attention of children with autism.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The intervention of Pivotal Response Training on Responsive Joint Attention and Initiating Joint Attention in children with autism has immediate and sustained effects.(2)The intervention of Pivotal Response Training on Responsive Joint Attention and Initiating Joint Attention in children with autism showed differentiated effects:after intervention,Pivotal Response Training on case A’s instruction following,gaze following,gaze alternation,finger instruction and active display the acquisition level and maintenance level of case B were higher than the acquisition level and maintenance level of case B’s instruction following,gaze following,gaze alternation,finger instruction and active display.(3)The intervention effect of Pivotal Response Training has good social validity.(4)Pivotal Response Training has a positive effect on Case A’s emotional control ability and language comprehension ability,and has a positive effect on Case B’s communication ability and cognitive ability...
