In today’s increasingly digital life scenes,the elderly are quietly marginalized by the digital society because of the relatively low access rate and the lack of operation of digital devices.Promoting the digital integration of the elderly has become an unavoidable content of the education of the elderly population in China.This paper takes the entry point of the elderly in L City’s elderly department,and analyzes the current situation,dilemma and demand characteristics of the elderly in population aging and information digitization under the background of observation method and interview method.The study found that the elderly are not skilled in the operation and use of smart devices,but lack of active learning willingness.On the one hand,they show the fear and rejection of the use of smart phones;on the other hand,they are unwilling to express the learning needs of basic knowledge of digital information and common mobile phone application software operation.This research using the wealth of smartphone information,the necessity of daily life application,and diversified entertainment recognized by the elderly,and as the digital inclusion of the elderly,according to the social learning theory and social support theory,using group work method,organized the pension institutions for the elderly smartphone learning group practice,in order to explore that what a role the social work in the elderly digital inclusion can play.Research verified the group work in the elderly smartphone learning effectiveness and operability.For the elderly social participation ability significantly,and the expression of learning demand is seriously shortage,the group activity extends the cycle of the group,weakens the game design of group activities,focus on improving the old general cognition of digital and network knowledge,helps its learning smart screen and common software operation skills,and sets the group as half open to let more old people get learning opportunities.The study found that(1)the fundamental motivation for the elderly to learn using smartphones lies to enrich their spiritual life and obtain spiritual companionship.(2)The biggest challenge of social work intervention in the digital inclusion of the elderly is the appropriate use of professional values and methods to protect the needs of the elderly,and encourage the elderly to actively express their needs.(3)Social work intervention in the work path of digital inclusion of the elderly should first target the fear of the elderly,help them to build confidence and courage in expression through the basic knowledge popularization;Secondly,by helping the elderly to master several operational skills,stimulate their learning desire and initiative;Through the continuous strengthening of systematic learning activities,while improving the ability of using intelligent devices for the elderly,enhance the self-efficacy of the elderly;Finally,to help the elderly break through the psychological barriers of digital inclusion,and realize the goal to actively express their needs,so as to build and strengthen the effective support network for the elderly in the process of digital inclusion.According to the research,it is crucial to explore the motivation of the digital inclusion of the elderly and accurately determine the digital inclusion needs of the elderly.In the current practice of promoting the digital inclusion of the elderly,while helping the elderly to adapt to the new technology through the popular education of intelligent technology,encouraging other social subjects to carry out aging transformation and service innovation to adapt to the elderly should be the main idea to help the elderly with digital inclusion for a while in the future.
