Based on the needs of the current social development and the background of chemistry curriculum reform,the Ministry of education put forward the suggestion of introducing STSE education into chemistry textbooks to return subject knowledge to life.Linking chemical knowledge with industrial production,technological development and the earth’s ecological environment can broaden students’ knowledge horizons.Influenced by the novel coronavirus pneumonia and the current educational information age,network teaching is widely applied in China.As a bridge between information technology and basic knowledge teaching,hybrid teaching can supplement the online teaching platform with the expanding content that can’t be displayed in class due to the time relationship and matches the teaching content.In this study,nail platform is selected as the online teaching platform,which is combined with offline classroom teaching to implement hybrid teaching.After analyzing the contents of STSE education in the chemical industry process questions in the college entrance examination in recent five years and carrying out the questionnaire to students,iron salt and nitric acid are selected as the representatives of elemental compounds for teaching design;Two parallel classes were selected as the experimental class and the control class.Using SPSS 26 0 to analyze the results of pre-test and post-test.After the experiment,some students in the experimental class were interviewed to understand the students’ ideas and suggestions on mixed teaching under STSE education.By analyzing the experimental results,it is found that the chemistry performance of the experimental class has improved,and the students can realize that many applications in life are related to chemistry,and deeply feel the discipline value of chemistry.At the same time,it is verified that the implementation of mixed teaching under the concept of STSE education can effectively activate the classroom atmosphere,improve students’ learning effect in the chapters of elements and compounds,and enhance students’ learning autonomy.
