For the purpose of improving the scientific literacy of students, the new curriculum based on STSE education philosophy was advocated. The curriculum could help students to master the knowledge and skills. The teaching design based on STSE educational concept fully embodies the teaching idea of "walking into chemistry from life, from chemistry to society". Sulfur and its compounds carrying a good knowledge and fits the STSE education philosophy. Therefore, I select the contents based on STSE education idea of teaching design, in order to provide a reference for middle school chemistry teachers.This paper based on "STS" and "STSE" teaching philosophy of teaching design, detailed analyze the knowledge content of sulfur and its compounds. In order to test the teaching effect of teaching design, the practical research is carried out. The results show that the teaching design based on the STSE education theory can improve the basic knowledge and skills of students.This thesis consists of nine parts, the main contents are as follows:The first part, to clarify the significance of the topic.The second part, an overview of the design of teaching based on the teaching idea of "STS" and "STSE", through the existing research literature, knowledge of sulfur and its compounds from two angles of teaching content and teaching design are reviewed. Finally, through the analysis, it is found that many of the knowledge of "sulfur and its compounds" are suitable to the STSE education concept. It is feasible and necessary to carry out the teaching design based on the STSE education concept.The third part, the purpose and task of the study.The fourth part, the core part of this paper, puts forward the general design ideas of teaching design based on STSE education theory.In the fifth part, based on the design ideas, the content of "sulfur and its compounds" is analyzed based on the STSE education concept. Analysis of the curriculum standards, "sulfur and its compounds" related content layout analysis, "sulfur and its compounds" the analysis of the value of knowledge. Through the above analysis, it is found that the STSE education concept can fully reflect the growing point of the scene, which provides the foundation for the teaching design.The sixth part, analysis of the students. Through the design of questionnaire and interview, analyzes the existing knowledge level of the students, based on the analysis of STSE education "of sulfur and its compounds" teaching difficulties.The seventh part, the teaching design of STSE education based on sulfur and its compounds. According to the student questionnaire and teacher interview, we modified the teaching design.The eighth part, the implementation of teaching, the use of self-made test results of the teaching effect with SPSS19.0 software statistical analysis of experimental results.The ninth part, research conclusion and prospect. Summarize the research conclusion, put forward the problems that need to be solved on the basis of the research of the paper.The innovation of this research lies in is proposed based on STSE education idea of the process of instructional design, and based on the teaching, design based on STSE education philosophy of "sulfur and its compounds" teaching scheme is feasible.
