Since the 19 th CPC National Congress,China has made remarkable progress in the fields of economy,society,politics,culture,ecological civilization.However,the development of ideological and political education has also suffered many new challenges due to the coexistence of opportunities and challenges in the great changes unprecedented in a century.In order to better meet the challenges of the new stage and adapt to the development of the new stage,it is the core of ideological and political education to improve and strengthen ideological and political education,improve the comprehensive quality of the people and enhance the comprehensive ability to solve various risk challenges in the new journey of building a socialist modern and powerful country in an all-round way.Confucian Benevolence Thought as an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture,the essence of which is great and good spirit of philosophy,moral and cultural value,the ideological and political education for college students provides a rich and valuable education resources,therefore,draw lessons from Confucian Benevolence Thought improve ideological and political education not only has the necessity also has the important value of time.Excavating and analyzing the basic connotation of Confucius’ Benevolence Thought,carrying out creative transformation and innovative development of Confucius’ benevolence thought,and to apply the essence of Confucius’ Benevolence,which still has the value of the times,to the ideological and political education of college students is not only conducive to inheriting and developing Chinese traditional culture,but also an important method and way to enhance the effectiveness of cultivating people,and also accords with the goal of cultivating new people of the era who are brave and bear heavy responsibilities.Firstly,through the method of literature research,this paper systematically combs and summarizes the source of Confucius’ Benevolence Thought and the background of its generation,and expounds the basic connotation of Confucius’ Benevolence Thought,which mainly includes six aspects: benevolent love,benevolent love relatives,self-improvement,benevolence by oneself,thinking for profit,erudition and ambition,to master the theoretical knowledge of Confucius’ Benevolent Thoughts.Secondly,it analyzes the importance of ideological and political education of university students,discusses the necessity of creative application of Confucius Benevolence Thought,and adheres to the principles of criticism and inheritance,development and innovation,the dialectical view of the Confucian Benevolence Thought,reveals Confucian Benevolence Thought in the era of ideological and political education value,to realize the creative transformation and rational inheritance of Confucius Benevolence Thought.Thirdly,through the method of questionnaire survey,analyze the problems existing in the creative application of Confucius Benevolence Thought in the ideological and political education of college students: College students generally have higher ideological consciousness,political position and value concept,but some students are influenced by external factors and their own values,moral literacy and value concept are relatively weak,so the effect of the creative application of Confucius Benevolence Thought in the ideological and political education of college students needs to be further improved.Finally,drawing on the educational ideas of Confucius’ Benevolence,we will strengthen the ideological and political education of college students,deepen the content of ideological and political education of college students,optimize the methods of ideological and political education of college students.At the same time,through deepening the construction of teachers,enriching social practice,creating a strong cultural atmosphere,creating a good family environment,and improving self-education ability,college students can improve their ideological and moral accomplishment,cultural cognition and confidence,enhance the effectiveness of the creative application of Confucius Benevolence Thought in the ideological and political education of college students,and strengthen the work of ideological and political education.
