In human medicine,the continuous increase of body functions has made the elderly population more vulnerable to physical diseases.In the Chinese pharmaceutical market,packaging design meets the needs of elderly users,and the lack of research and thinking that moderately aggravates features has led to insufficient use of pharmaceutical packaging by elderly users.In the field of perceptual perception of cognitive psychology,a lot of information in the external world is obtained by visual perception.Here,we focus on the visual characteristics of elderly users and the functional characteristics of pharmaceutical packaging,focusing on the semantic design characteristics of pharmaceutical packaging based on the visual cognition of the elderly.Accurately convey packaging information and provide effective and usable drug packaging for elderly users.This paper focuses on the visual characteristics of elderly users and the functional characteristics of drug packaging,and explores the semantic design characteristics of drug packaging that are consistent with the visual cognition of the elderly group,so as to accurately convey packaging information and provide effective and usable drug packaging for elderly users.Firstly,the research focused on the visual semantics of pharmaceutical packaging and the visual cognitive characteristics of the elderly population,clarified the related concepts,and analyzed the visual semantic elements of the pharmaceutical packaging,the visual characteristics and cognitive characteristics of the elderly population.Secondly,through user interviews and questionnaire surveys of elderly users,discuss the medication characteristics,medication habits,and psychological needs of the elderly.In order to avoid the excessive subjectivity of the research conclusions such as user interviews and questionnaire surveys,this article uses the survey results to conduct eye-movement experiments on elderly users,select cold medicines as a reference,extract experimental samples,and separately identify the layout and graphic semantics of the packaging of medicines and the semantic recognition of graphics Experiments were performed on cognitive performance and color semantic visual preferences,and subject's eye movement cognitive data was collected and analyzed.Finally,according to the experimental conclusions,combining drug packaging semantics to construct a suitable aging drug packaging design strategy,that is,when a pharmaceutical packaging is suitable for aging design,it needs to construct a reasonable layout,shape recognizable shapes,choose readable text,and design clear graphics.3.Select suitable ageing colors,and at the same time meet the design principles of visibility,operability,convenience and emotion of pharmaceutical packaging.Based on visual semantic cognition,the aging drug packaging design strategy is selected.Rheumatic bone pain type drug packaging is selected for optimal design.The effectiveness of aging drug packaging design strategy is demonstrated through user satisfaction and cognitive performance tests.
