Due to its unique physical and chemical properties,glass fiber has been widely used in all walks of life in the national economy and people's livelihood.Whether the size of glass fiber is qualified affects the final performance of glass fiber products,which is particularly important for the measurement of glass fiber.In this paper,a semi-automatic measuring device is designed and developed for glass fiber with rectangular section.By comparing the characteristics of contact measurement method and non-contact measurement method,the non-contact measurement method is selected according to the material characteristics of glass fiber.This paper deeply studies the realization principle of projection imaging technology,laser doppler measurement technology,laser diffraction measurement technology and laser scanning measurement technology,which are widely used in non-contact measurement field at present.In accordance with the requirements of the technical indexes,this scheme and structure of the measuring device is designed,the structure of the part is divided into feeding device,device detection and classification,analysis of every part of the functions,completed the design of its mechanical structure and the moving parts selection,the use of ANSYS software simulation analysis was carried out on the key parts,to ensure the rationality of the design of equipment parts.According to the functional requirements of the control system,the upper computer control software is designed.Based on the modular design idea,the upper computer software is divided into control module,display module and parameter setting module.Measurement device after completion of assembly,because the laser scanning measuring way has the original reason of error,so first of all,through the experiment of measuring diameter instrument calibration correction coefficient,and through the experiment on the premise of guarantee accuracy of measurement to determine the rotation of the caliper gauge cycle,this equipment accuracy measurement experiments,finally,to ensure the accuracy of the apparatus parameters.
