A Study On The Influencing Factors Of The Normative Disposal Of Urban Residents' Domestic Waste In Vientiane City

With the continuous improvement of social and economic level in Laos,the process of urbanization in Laos is developing rapidly,and the number of urban population is also increasing correspondingly.Along with this,the production of urban domestic waste is increasing dramatically.The problem of domestic waste in various cities of Laos has caused serious environmental pollution.The source of urban waste treatment in Laos is to improve the standard level of domestic waste delivery of urban residents in Laos.According to this,this paper takes Vientiane City as a case study,based on the theory of planning behavior,constructs a hierarchical regression model,and studies the normative influencing factors of Lao urban residents' domestic waste delivery.Furthermore,the paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the standard of domestic waste delivery behavior of urban residents in Laos.In 2018,Vientiane municipal government carried out the pilot project of classified delivery of urban residents' domestic waste in chanthabouly,sikhotabong and xaysetha counties.This paper takes "chanthabouly",the political,economic and cultural center of Vientiane City,as the investigation scope.Based on the theory of planned behavior,this paper determines two factors that may affect the normative behavior of waste delivery in Vientiane City:policy factors and residents'psychological factors,including publicity and education,economic incentive policies and infrastructure construction related to waste delivery,and residents' psychological factors include residents' value perception,external perception behavior control,subjective norms and habits Inertia inspiration and residents' intention,take these 8 factors as independent variables,residents' real life waste standard delivery behavior as dependent variables,in addition,take gender,age,education,occupation,monthly income and living years in individual characteristics as control variables,and construct hierarchical regression model.The regression results show that eight key independent variables,namely,publicity and education,economic incentive policies,waste delivery related infrastructure construction,residents' value perception,external perceived behavior control,subjective norms,habitual inspiration and residents'intentions,have significant positive effects on the normative behavior of waste delivery of Vientiane city residents,and the individual characteristics of residents,including gender,age and occupation,have significant positive effects on the normative behavior of waste delivery of Vientiane city residents there is also a certain impact on the normative behavior of urban residents..Among them,women are more significant than men;middle-aged and elderly groups are more significant than youth groups;higher education is more significant than lower education;government workers and community workers are more significant than other occupations.According to this,this paper puts forward measures from four aspects:government management,laws and regulations,infrastructure construction,publicity and education,so as to provide reference for Vientiane municipal government to improve the standardization of domestic waste delivery.
