With the rapid development of China's technology of transportation science and social economy,the transportation construction in Southwest China has also developed rapidly and the expressway has gradually become the primary vehicle of goods transportation and personnel exchanges in Southwest China.At the same time,with the rapid development of automobile and transportation industry,the number of motor vehicles such as automobiles is also rising sharply.While automobiles have brought great convenience to humans,they have also become one of the important factors that endanger human safety and the problem of traffic accidents has become increasingly prominent.According to statistics from 2010 to 2019,the average daily death toll of traffic accidents is about 170 in China.The analysis of research data both in domestic and international shows that the evaluation of road safety is an important method to reduce traffic accidents,which can effectively eliminate the dangerous parts of the road before the occurrence of dangerous accidents,so as to reduce the black-spots of accident and the incidence of traffic accidents.This paper takes the expressway from Tianfu new area to Qionglai in Sichuan province as an example to further improve the standard of design and the traffic safety level of Tianqiong expressway.The research is guided by "scientific,objective and reasonable".This paper analyzes the possible problems in the design stage of Tianqiong expressway,and puts forward the solutions,so as to reduce the accident black-spots and increase the safety.This research mainly starts from the perspective of the impact of road factors on traffic safety,and combines the actual engineering needs of Tianqiong expressway to evaluate the road conditions systematically.The details are as follows:First,according to the current standards and specifications such as "Highway Project Safety Evaluation Specification","Highway Route Design Specification" and "Detailed Rules for Design of Highway Traffic Safety Facilities",the method of safety analysis and the system of evaluation index are established for Tianqiong expressway.Secondly,according to the preliminary design information and the actual engineering,the overall safety analysis of the Tianqiong expressway project is carried out.From the perspective of mathematical methods,the scheme of Tianqiong expressway is compared and selected and its operating speed is predicted.Based on the above analysis,this paper points out the deficiencies in the project construction and puts forward improvement measures.Then,this paper makes a systematic research on the influence of the route,pavement and structure on the traffic safety.The influence factors of road design factors on traffic safety of Tianqiong expressway are obtained.In order to improve the level of road traffic safety,the corresponding design optimization scheme and traffic safety guarantee suggestions are put forward.Thirdly,this research makes a comprehensive safety evaluation on the whole line of Tianqiong expressway,including the overall safety,route,roadbed and pavement,bridge,tunnel,interchange,traffic engineering and facilities along the line.All kinds of potential traffic safety hazards are found from the evaluation results.According to the design problems,this paper puts forward the suggestions of feasible design optimization to eliminate the hidden security problems as possible in the design phase.Finally,on the basis of the research conclusion,this paper puts forward the overarching suggestions of the preliminary design and long-term operation safety for Tianqiong expressway,which has an important reference significance for the follow-up design of Tianqiong expressway.
