Since Reform and opening policy implemented in China,the fast growing domestic economyand expanding investment in infrastructure construction year by year have promoted the engineering cost consulting industry.Although being the rising stage,the engineering cost consulting industry market is in completely competitive.Guizhou S Cost Consulting Co.,Ltd.is a newly established enterprise in 2016.The gross income had reach up 10 million yuan by the quickly growing rate of business by the end of 2018.However,there are some challenges which put the companyin risk.First of all,it must face the competition of massed enterprises fromother provinces in China,makingworse to the market of engineering cost consulting in Guizhou whichalready oversupplied.Secondly,due to the small scale,low qualifications,inferior in technique,and imperfect company management,it is beingin the adverse position for competition.For stabilizing the development trend and market,it is necessary to conduct a plan of competitive strategic by comprehensive analyzing the company’s competition environment and its resources and capability of company,guiding the company to solving the problems mentioned above.This is also the practical significance of this research.This study focuses on the following issues:First,it defines the problem ofstrategy and competitive strategy,listing the definitions by major scholars both domestic and abroad,and introduces the main theory of competitive strategy.Introducethe formation of enterprise competitiveness,elements of competition,the theoryof Porter’s five kinds of competitiveness and three basic competitive strategies.Second,using the PEST method to analyze the political and legal condition,economic condition,and technological environment of S Cost Consulting Co.,Ltd.;comprehensive analysis of the five types of competitiveness in the engineering cost consulting industry,and the existing competitors of S Cost Co.,Ltd.;analyzing the internal environment of S Cost Consulting Company,specially focusing on the resources,capabilities and core competitiveness of the enterprise.Analyzethe advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of S Cost Consulting Company by the SWOT method.Make SWOT matrix and relevant strategies.The third is to analyze the strategic goals of the enterprise,for making decisions among the three basic competitive strategies in combination with the SWOT analysis results,and to choose differentiation as the competitive strategy of the enterprise;the fourth is to choose service product differentiation,service process differentiation and differentiation of after-sales service as the company strategy,and making the competitive strategic plan;Fifth,formulate strategic implementation and safeguard measures based on the strategic plan.Through research,the conclusions drawn in this studyis:S Cost Consulting Co.,Ltd.chooses a differentiated competitive strategy,in terms of service products,it must be professionally differentiated;in terms of service processes,it needs to be differentiated in project organization;In terms of services,differentiate by service content.This article has achieved two innovations:one is the development of key specialties in service content and differentiation through high-standard and specialized services;the second is the use of mass customization to transform service processes to effectively reduce the cost of enterprises and improve efficiency,thereby enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and achieve an organic combination of low cost and high quality services.
