Research On The Redesign Of Public Facilities In Ancient China

The development and application of public facilities in ancient China shows the long history and profound cultural connotation of the Chinese nation,which is the crystallization of thousands of years of wisdom of the Chinese nation.In ancient China,public facilities such as well Pavilion,Ping'an jar,leaky engraving,water wheel,etc.,which were handed down to today,were not only very popular at that time,but also provided valuable reference value for the design of modern public facilities.In today's society,we can still see the figure of ancient public facilities.Ancient Chinese public facilities as an important part of ancient Chinese creation design,its redesign,placed in today's public environment,is undoubtedly the best inheritance of Chinese creation culture.So as a designer,I can't help thinking about how to make it still have practical value in today's society with the continuous development of science and technology and the changing social needs.From the perspective of the research on the redesign of ancient Chinese public facilities,this paper explores the ways and methods of the redesign of ancient Chinese public facilities,excavates the essence of the design of ancient Chinese public facilities,and combines it with contemporary needs,contemporary concepts,and contemporary science and technology,so as to further inherit and carry forward the excellent creation ideas of ancient China.Based on the development process of ancient Chinese public facilities,this paper combs the design context of ancient Chinese public facilities,and analyzes and studies the characteristics of ancient Chinese public facilities according to the use,function,shape,material,power source and other aspects.On the basis of retaining the characteristics of ancient Chinese public facilities,combined with the contemporary demand and the concept of the times,this paper takes the redesign of ancient Chinese traditional engraving as an example to carry out the design practice.In the process of design practice,the contemporary technical means are fully integrated into the design concept of "making the past serve the present".Based on the survey data of the actual market demand,the function and modeling design go hand in hand,and finally put forward the redesign scheme of "missing engraving bell" to meet the contemporary demand.Taking this practical case as an example,this paper fully expounds how to redesign ancient Chinese public facilities on the basis of meeting the public needs of modern society,revive the soul of ancient Chinese public facilities,inherit the essence and connotation culture of ancient Chinese public facilities design,endow ancient public facilities with contemporary functions,and make ancient public facilities shine in today's society,Make it better serve the contemporary society.
