With the acceleration of urbanization,a series of problems such as traffic congestion,shortage of urban green space and destruction of urban ecological environment have become more and more prominent.In this context,greenway plays an important role in improving urban environment,stabilizing urban ecological pattern,and facilitating daily commuting,leisure and recreation of urban residents.HuaxiNanminghe River greenway,as an important section of the waterfront greenway in the central urban area of Guiyang,plays an important role in the greenway system of Guiyang.However,the greenway space has a relatively simple form,incomplete service facilities,a lack of diversified service functions,and a lack of attraction for pedestrians.Therefore,how to build high-quality waterfront greenway space is very important for improving the quality of life of residents,improving and perfecting the urban slow traffic system and even improving the National Trail system.In this paper,the waterfront greenway of Huaxi-Nanminghe River Wetland Park as the research object to study its spatial characteristics and spatial efficiency,and to exprlore the relationship between them.Meanwhile,according to the existing problems,we put forward the optimization strategy,in order to provide reference and reference for the spatial layout and reasonable planning and design of waterfront greenway.The main research results indicated that:(1)The space types of waterfront greenway in Huaxi-Nanminghe River Wetland Park in Guiyang are mainly divided into point-like space and linear space.The pointlike space includes square,node,rest space and hydrophilic space,while the linear space includes comprehensive footpath and trestle,but the spatial composition of different subsections is different;The main types of activities include: walking,cycling,running,fishing,dancing,singing,dabbling,etc;Through field investigation,we found that there are still some problems in Huaxi-Nanminghe River Wetland Park in Guiyang,such as the infrastructure can not fully meet the requirements of different users,the lack of private and communication space,the short of characteristics of node space,the poor ecological characteristics of the revetment of the greenway,and the unclear boundary between pedestrian and bicycle paths.(2)The spatial bearing capacity,richness and use intensity of spatial activity type have a higer weighted value in Huaxi-Nanminghe River Wetland Park in Guiyang,which affect the viewing experience of users.From the perspective of different subsections,the order of spatial efficiency from high to low is: subsections-2 of Huaxi Park > subsections-1 of Huaxi Park > subsections-6 of Ten Mile River Wetland Park >subsections-8 of Ten Mile River Wetland Park > subsections-7 of Ten Mile River Wetland Park > subsections-5 of Ten Mile River Wetland Park > subsections-2 of Ten Mile River Wetland Park > subsections-1 of Gold Avenue > subsections-2 of Gold Avenue > subsections-1 of Ten Mile River Wetland Park > subsections-4 of Ten Mile River Wetland Park.(3)Correlation analysis shows that the spatial bearing capacity was significantly correlated with the object index of point-like spatial characteristics and D/H,the activity complexity was only positively correlated with linear space length,the dimensions of space was positively correlated with the linear spatial length,and the spatial characteristics were negatively correlated with the linear space length and the spatial greening coverage.However,other space efficiency index and spatial object index had no significant correlation.(4)According to the problems existing in the spatial characteristics of HuaxiNanminghe River Wetland Park in Guiyang,and combined with the results of correlation analysis,we put forward corresponding optimization strategies for the layout,enclosure degree,landscape sketch culture,plant configuration and linear space form and scale of point space.
