A "transcendence" Study Of The Figure-ground Relationship In Tom Mayne's Architecture

The 2005 pritzker prize winner Tom who is a world-famous American architect,was known as the "bad boy" of architecture,because when I was young "rebellion" of mainstream architectural concept,and not to be understood and accepted,perhaps it is this deny and doubt the courage of the world,has created such a bold,brave and endowed with creative architect.He dares to question the common architectural formula of the moment and responds with resounding works.Through forward-looking exploration of architecture,urban environment and society,he forms his own original spirit based on the characteristics of The Times by taking the relationship between the picture and the ground as the starting point beyond the traditional one.In view of this,this paper takes the map-base relationship in Tom Mayne's architecture as the research object and the "transcendence" as the research point,and systematically analyzes and summarizes the application of the map-base relationship in architectural design,the characteristics,performance and enlightenment of the "transcendence" of the map-base relationship.To understand and grasp the "transcendence" of the relationship between the picture and the ground in Mayne architecture,the experimental design is carried out with the theme of "transcendence of the picture and the ground--the practical space design of the school history device in Lishui Campus".
