With the development of reliability statistical theory and environmental test technology, more and more attention has been paid to the reliability life of electronic products. The electrical connector product is the main connection unit of automobile. If there is a problem with the electrical connector product,it will not only affect the performance of the whole vehicle, but also bring danger to the people in the car,so its reliability is very important. In the process of connector design and production, the corresponding environment and reliability test should be used to effectively evaluate the environmental applicability and reliability,so as to lay the foundation for optimizing the product and finalizing the design. In this thesis, the research object is ETC7C electrical connector.Through the analysis of failure mechanism, mechanical failure and contact failure are identified as the main failure modes. On this basis, the failure model is established combined with Weibull distribution, and then the life test theory and method of automobile electrical connector are studied by using temperature and vibration comprehensive section under laboratory conditions,so as to determine its reliability level.Firstly,it introduces the development history and current situation of reliability research at home and abroad, the research and application of reliability in China, the method of reliability test and the current main trends of reliability research of automotive electrical connectors and some existing problems.Secondly, after summarizing the failure conditions of the electrical connector in the actual application and the experimental process, the specific mechanism and the failure physical model are explored.According to the failure mechanism and its structural characteristics, the failure physical model, and the previous research result, the failure physical equation of the automotive electrical connector is put forward, which determines the life model of the automotive electrical connector.Thirdly, combined with the characteristics of the environment of the automotive electrical connector, the accelerated life planning is adopted for the temperature-vibration combined stress, and the stress standard, sample size and corresponding criteria of the test are finally obtained.Fourthly, through the test verification of the ETC7C automotive electrical connector, the corresponding analysis of the failure data collected during the test is completed, which confirms the feasibility of the model established in the previous section. At the end of this thesis, the contents of the above are summarized, and the shortcomings of this research are put forward and the future development trend is prospected.
