Our country has a vast territory and a complex combat environment. In order to explore the vibration of the machine gun when fighting in different soil environments, this paper takes a 5.8mm general-purpose machine gun as the research object to study its inherent characteristics and dynamic response characteristics on different soils, and the result provide a reference for the design and optimization of the machine gun.In terms of natural characteristics research,it mainly includes the natural frequency and vibration shape of the machine gun. This part adopts the method of combining theory and experiment to conduct research.Firstly,a coupling model of the machine gun and different soils is established in the finite element software ABAQUS.The model considers the constitutive relationship of the soil, and carries out a computational modal analysis of the machine gun. Then set up a modal test system, which is mainly composed of excitation, sensor measurement system and data acquisition and analysis system. The modal test is carried out by arranging several excitation points on the machine gun and adopting a single-point vibration pick-up method.Correct the theoretical model with the test results, and finally get a more accurate theoretical model similar to the test modal results. In terms of dynamic response measurement, the machine gun was set up on different soils for continuous firing, and the displacement response of the muzzle and the location of the impact point were recorded by two high-speed cameras. The study found that the position change rule of most of the impact points in both vertical and horizontal directions is basically the same as the change in the direction of the muzzle vibration displacement.R50 is used to determine the dispersion of the machine gun when shooting in different soils, and the stability of the machine gun shooting on different soils is obtained.Meanwhile,by establishing a rigid-flexible coupling model of the machine gun, applying loads to it,using ADAMS software to simulate the muzzle displacement of the machine gun when firing on different soils, the comparison results of the theoretical results and the tests verify the accuracy of the established model,And on the basis of the established model, the relationship between the dynamic response of the machine gun and the soil density is obtained.
