Clinical Observation Of Filiform Needle Combined With Qixing Needle In The Treatment Of Postherpetic Neuralgia

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of filiform needle combined with seven-star needle in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia(PHN)from the aspects of pain degree,anxiety and depression state,sleep quality and life quality,so as to provide clinical data for acupuncture treatment of PHN and lay the foundation for in-depth research in the future.MethodsIn strict accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria,32 patients with PHN were included in the study and treated with filiform needle combined with seven-star needle.1.Acupoints:LR3(bilateral),ST36(bilateral),CV12,CV4,SP6(bilateral),HT7(bilateral),and local Ashi points.2.Operation:The patient is in supine position,and the local skin is routinely disinfected.LR3,pierced vertically 0.5 to 1 cun;ST36,pierced vertically 1 to 2 cun;CV12,pierced vertically 1 to 1.5 cun;CV4,pierced vertically 1 to 1.5 cun after emptying the bladder;SP6,pierced vertically 1 to 1.5 cun;HT7,pierced vertically 0.3 to 0.5 cun.After acupuncture at the above points and arrival of qi,apply the uniform reinforcing-reducing method,and keeping the needles for 25 minutes.After the needles is lifted,make the patient choose a suitable position,fully expose the PHN area,strictly disinfect the local Ashi points skin and seven-star needle,hold the seven-star needle with lighter wrist force to tap the local skin until the local skin is slightly flushed.3.Course of treatment:1 treatment every other day,3 treatments a week,4 weeks as a course of treatment,a total of 1 course of treatment.4.Evaluation:The patients were scored using visual analog scales(VAS),dermatology life quality index(DLQI),hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),hamilton depression scale(HAMD),and pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)before treatment,the second week of treatment,and the fourth week of treatment.The data was statistically analyzed using SPSS 20.0 software.The effectiveness and safety of filiform needle combined with seven-star needle in the treatment of PHN was evaluated by the case self control,from the aspects of pain degree,anxiety and depression state,sleep quality and life quality.ResultsDuring the study,a total of 32 cases were included,3 cases were dropped,29 cases were completed and included in the final statistical analysis.1.After 2 weeks of treatment,the effective rate was 75.86%,and the healing rate was 13.79%.After 4 weeks of treatment,the effective rate was 93.10%,and the healing rate was 68.97%.The clinical efficacy of the fourth week of treatment was significantly better than that of the second week of treatment,which was statistically significant(P<0.01).The results suggest that with the extension of the treatment time,the clinical efficacy becomes more significant.2.VAS score,DLQI,HAMA total score,HAMD total score and PSQI at the second week and the fourth week of treatment were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.01).After treatment,they were better than those before treatment.There were also significant differences in VAS score,DLQI,HAMA total score,HAMD total score and PSQI between the fourth week and the second week of treatment(P<0.01).The efficacy indicators of the fourth week of treatment were better than those of the second week of treatment.The results suggest that the treatment of PHN with filiform needle combined with seven-star needle can effectively relieve the pain of patients,relieve anxiety,depression and other emotional disorders and sleep disorders,and improve the quality of life of patients,and with the extension of treatment time,the improvement of various efficacy indicators is more significant.3.A total of 5 cases of adverse events occurred during the study,including 4 cases of acupuncture-related adverse events,all of which were local hematoma and did not affect the treatment,and 1 case of adverse events unrelated to acupuncture,which were finally treated as shedding.The results suggest that the treatment of PHN with filiform needle combined with seven-star needle has no serious adverse events,and the safety of it is good.ConclusionsThe combination of filiform needles and seven-star needles has significant clinical effects in the treatment of PHN,which can relieve pain,alleviate emotional disorders and sleep disorders induced by PHN,and improve the quality of life of patients.With the extension of treatment time,the clinical effect becomes more significant.This therapy is effective and safe in the treatment of PHN,and the research results have certain clinical reference value,and lay the foundation for further in-depth clinical research.
