A Cross-sectional Study Of Patients With Allergic Asthma And Constitution

ObjectiveThis study reviewed the relationship between allergic asthma and TCM constitution and the pathogenesis of allergic asthma.On this basis,through the method of cross-sectional study,this paper analyzes the characteristics of the coclamping constitution distribution in patients with allergic asthma.The study elucidates the essence of the " special quality constitution " and provides a basis for the modulation and treatment of allergic asthma.MethodsIn this study,a cross-sectional study was used to study the patients with allergic asthma who were treated in the third affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to January 2021.We chose the patients with allergic asthma who were included in the selsction criteria in this study.A cross-sectional survey was used to collect general data,medical data,allergy-related information,exhaled nitric oxide examination and other epidemiological data and physique information of patients.To summarize the characteristics of physical distribution,general data and correlation with physique in patients with allergic asthma.Descriptive statistics,frequency distribution statistics,nonparametric test,logistics Regression analysis and other statistical methods were used,and the related significance test was based on P<0.05.The purpose of this study was to explore the distribution of sandwiched physique in patients with allergic asthma and the sex,age,body mass index,allergic disease,allergic history and family history,pet keeping,exhaled nitric oxide,peripheral blood eosinophil and physique in patients with allergic asthma.ResultsA total of 117 patients with allergic asthma were included in this study,including 43 males and 74 females,the ratio of male to female was 1.72,the youngest was 18 years old,the oldest was 89 years old,and the average age was(46.30±16.10)years old.According to the age division of WHO,the patients were divided into three groups:young group(18-44 years old),middle-aged group(45-59 years old)and old age group(60-89 years old).The number of cases in each group was 64,25 and 28,and the proportion of young people was the highest.1.In terms of TCM constitution,there are all eight kinds of constitution in the special quality constitution and sandwiched constitution.According to the occurrence frequency of constitution,the order is as follows:Qi-deficiency(1 8.85%),Yang-deficiency(16.75%),Qi-stagnation(13.87%),Yin-deficiency(13.42%),phlegm-dampness(12.63%),damp-heat(11.84%),gentle-peace(6.32%)and blood-stasis(6.05%).Blood-stasis and gentle-peace is an uncommon type of the composite constitution.The number of people with one or two types of constitution is the largest in the composite constitution.There are 26 people with one kind of physique,and the proportion of balance constitution is the highest.The three and four kinds of combination constitution are more complex,showing the phenomenon of the inclusion of the void and the real.Among the two kinds of composite constitution,there were 14 cases of simple deficiency constitution(56%),8 cases of deficiency and excess composite constitution(32%),and only 3 cases were solid constitution.Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency and Yin deficiency are the main basic constitution,Among the three or four types of composite constitutions,the deficiency constitution is dominated by Qi deficiency and Yang deficiency,while the solid constitution is dominated by phlegm-dampness,dampheat and Qi stagnation."Qi deficiency quality-Yang deficiency quality-"is the combination with the highest frequency among the three or four combinations of composite constitution.In terms of gender,the proportion of female with yang deficiency is higher than that of male.Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that the female was 3.344 times more likely to have Yang deficiency than the male,and the male was 3.147 times more likely to have damp and hot matter.(P<0.05)There was a positive correlation between Phlegm-dampness constitution and body fat,and the probability of Phlegm-dampness constitution increased 57%with every 1 increase in BMI.2.In terms of body shape,the proportion of obese patients with allergic asthma reached 11.11%;Thirty-seven patients in the study had a family history of allergic diseases,66 patients(56.41%)were allergic to drugs,food and contact substances,among which 26 patients had a family history of allergic diseases.Family history is related to drug,food and contact allergy(P<0.05);19.66%of the patients had pets,34.78%of them were allergic to cat and dog hair;83.76%of the patients with other allergic diseases were complicated with other allergic diseases.Allergic rhinitis(54.54%),eczema(21.10%)and urticaria(19.48%)were the three most common diseases;18.8%were smokers(including passive smoking).Chi-square test showed that smoking was related to gender,and the proportion of males was higher than that of females.(P<0.05)Among the laboratory examination indexes,there were 73 patients(62.39%)with eosinophilic airway inflammation in patients with allergic asthma,and only 8.55%and 6.84%of the patients had elevated EO#and EO%.There was no significant difference between different genders and ages.(P<0.05)The main symptoms of allergic asthma included in the study were cough,chest tightness,wheezing,shortness of breath,sore throat,itchy eyes and fatigue.Only cough was the main manifestation,accounting for 53.85%.This was followed by chest tightness and wheezing,accounting for 18.80%and 15.38%,respectively.Conclusion1.There are more women than men in allergic asthma,the proportion of yang deficiency in female patients is higher than that in male patients.The occurrence of Yang deficiency in females was 3.344 times higher than that in males,and the occurrence of damp and hot substance in males was 3.147 times higher than that in females.2.Most of the patients with allergic asthma are young.3.There was a positive correlation between Phlegm-dampness constitution and body fat,and the probability of Phlegm-dampness constitution increased 57%with every 1 increase in BMI.4.Patients with allergic asthma are more likely to be complicated with other allergic diseases,among which allergic rhinitis is the most common concomitant disease.5.Pet ownership and pet dandruff allergy,family history of allergic diseases and allergies to drugs,food and contact objects are all related.6.FeNO is a sensitive index to reflect the condition of patients with allergic asthma.6.The constitution of allergic asthma is mainly qi deficiency,yang deficiency,qi depression,Yin deficiency quality,phlegm damp quality and damp heat quality,while blood stasis is an uncommon type.The number of people with one or two types of constitution is the largest in the composite constitution.The three and four kinds of double composite constitution mostly show the phenomenon of the inclusion of the void and the solid.The deficiency constitution accounted for a higher proportion in the two combined constitutions,and Qi deficiency constitution,Yang deficiency constitution and Yin deficiency constitution were the main related constitutions.Among the three or four types of composite constitution,the combination of qi-deficiency and yang-deficiency was the most frequent combination constitution.The solid constitution is mainly phlegm and dampness,dampness and heat,and qi stagnation.
