In recent years, more and more medical conferences have been held in China, and the market demand for medical interpretation is great. However, there is little research on medical interpretation.WFNS that I have participated provides a platform for neurosurgeons and scholars at home and abroad to communicate. Most of the speech materials are informative texts, focusing on the understanding and response of the audience. So,as an interpreter of CI in this real working environment,we will meet different problems, sometimes we do not familiar with professional background and terms,or,there are too much picture in speaker's slides, huge output of information which would bring great pressure to the interpreter,or the overlapping of numbers etc, these situation would cause errors, omissions, pause and translation cavity. In this practical report, interpreter proposed to grasp the different meanings of the same word in different contexts, the appropriate omission of the source language, the extraction of key information, interpreting a passive sentence into an active one and other solution strategies. The purpose of this report is to review the problems and solutions in the practice of consecutive interpretation,so as to remove the difficulties and obstacles in learning for the audience. This practice report is based on the speaker's on-the-spot discussion of various cases in neurosurgery and the introduction of treatment plans. It also seeks for the deficiencies in the working process and proposes practical solutions. This report would not only provide a new perspective for interpreters who engaged in medical interpretation, especially in the neurosurgery field, but also help to improve the quality of interpretation.
