"2019 International Capital Attraction Seminar For Developing Countries" Chinese-English Consecutive Interpretation Practice Report

In Chinese-English consecutive translation,the accuracy of translation is closely related to the clarity and standardization of the source language expressions.Less formal source language will bring great trouble to the interpreter in the process of interpreting.As such phenomena occur from time to time,it is necessary to analyze and summarize these problems and their solutions.This report taking the "2019 Seminar for Developing Countries on Policies of Attracting International Investment" as an example,analyzes some problems caused by the speaker's habits of irregular expression in the source language.Meanwhile,it discusses according to the three stages of consecutive interpretation: input,transformation and output,and analyzes the obstacles caused by these problems in these three stages,which are understanding barrier,primary and secondary information disorder and the interpreter's Chinglish.At the same time,the corresponding strategies are given,which are the reorganization of source language,the ordering of the dominating and subordinate information,and the transformation of parts of speech based on the differences between Chinese and English.
