A Cultural And Philosophical Study Of The Relationship Between Confucianism And Economics In The Song Dynasty

This paper aims to probe into the dialectical relationship between economy and culture in song dynasty through the unique theoretical perspective of cultural philosophy and the basic theory of Marx's historical materialism.On the one hand,the economic prosperity of the song dynasty played a decisive role in the vigorous development of the song culture;on the other hand,the transformation of Confucianism in the song dynasty had an active reaction to the song economy,which was reflected in the promotion of the legal status of businessmen and the restriction of commercial behaviors.Thus,the economy of song dynasty failed to achieve a qualitative leap,and the Confucianism of song dynasty fell into a new theoretical dilemma.As the economy of the song dynasty was more prosperous than that of the tang dynasty,the progress of productivity promoted the development of production relations,while the economic foundation promoted the stability of the superstructure,leading to the ideological transformation.At the same time,the song dynasty Confucian scholar has to absorb the positive thought Buddha,two teaching,achieve mastery through a comprehensive,perfected and developed the Confucian tradition and created a song dynasty neo-confucianism,but because of the Confucian thought of inner culture resistance against malpractice and the economic development,the progress of the song dynasty economy and culture are mere quantity accumulation,to realize the qualitative leap.Finally,based on the study of the dialectical relationship between Confucianism and economy in song dynasty,this paper further explores the relationship between economy and culture from the feudal dynasties in song dynasty to the modern times,and provides a theoretical reference for promoting the correct guidance of culture and the development of economic modernization.Its practical significance and theoretical value are self-evident.
