A Study On The Description Of Comfort Women Accompanying The Army In "The End Of August"

As a Korean woman writer in Japan,Yu Miri once became a Korean woman writer of concern because her work "Family cinema" won "Akutagawa Literature Award".Because of her unique identity and life experience,a considerable part of the early works are written around the "family".But "the end of August" jumps out of the key word "family",describing what happened during the Japanese colonization of Korea by "the family" in Yu Miri.Its time span and space span are very large.Yu Miri reflects the life of the Korean nation under colonialism with the story of "family".Because of the sensitive issue between Japan and South Korea,"the military comfort women",the work has been controversial from literary circles and readers."Comfort women" is a compound word,which did not exist before World War II."Comfort" is a verb in Japanese.It means "comfort ".Until World War II,it combined "comfort" with "women" and called "comfort women".The word "comfort women in the army" has been added to the word "the military".Different dictionaries give slightly different interpretations of this word,and different versions of the same dictionary also have different interpretations.It can be seen from the change of words that "the military comfort women " is the product of war.With the passage of time,people have different understanding of the word "the military comfort women ".Around the issue of "the military comfort women",there are huge differences between Japan and South Korea,which have been hindering the friendly development of relations between Japan and South Korea.As long as the problem of "comfort women" isn't solved,it's difficult for the relation between Japan and South Korea to progress.In addition,the military comfort women involve various aspects such as national discrimination and female discrimination.In terms of their scope,they not only involve South Korea,but also China,North Korea,Southeast Asia and othercountries.The Japanese government has always held a view on the issue of comfort women,which is not consistent with that of other Asian countries.It is of great significance for peace in East Asia to resolve the dispute over "comfort women".In "the End of August",the writer Yu Miri describes the comfort women,what kind of life the Korean "the military comfort women" live under colonialism,what kind of sparks will collide when literature meets history,and how the writer balances the relationship between "fact" and "fiction".This is one of the main contents of this paper.Secondly,as a Korean woman in Japan,how Yu Miri expressed her views on the proposition of "the military comfort women" through literary works is also the content of this paper.
