Bergson's Concept Of "duration" And The Reconstruction Of The World Of Meaning

In the history of philosophy,almost all philosophers have established a unique way of thinking,however,a truly profound and complete philosophy is not satisfied with this.Bergson,through the important concept of " duration",starts from the measurement of the real state of consciousness,will think deeply,and finally restore or reconstruct how our real and complete meaning world is established.Bergson believes that "duration " is the real form and time of consciousness,which is different from the multiplicity of quantity.Since consciousness is constantly moving in the real stream of time,our past and present are not necessarily separated from each other.They constitute the moving memory of human beings,and the internal relationship between matter and consciousness is not the simple mirror structure advocated by materialism and idealism.It is our life itself that carries our consciousness.In Bergson's view,existence is not a pure entity,nor a pure spirit,but a process of flow and change and generation.The power of life evolution and creation is in itself from the beginning.Even the initial life form has an internal life impulse,which is the real source of evolution.The development process of human society is the continuation of the whole process of life evolution.Morality and religion are the closed and static structure constructed by human beings to maintain the group life at first,but the closed structure will inevitably develop towards the open form under the impetus of life impulse,which is the embodiment of the internal vitality of human society.Bergson extended his "duration" thinking to epistemology,ontology,life philosophy and social philosophy,which not only constituted a complete philosophy system,but also reconstructed the real and complete meaning world of human beings.Bergson's thought not only enables us to think about the limitations of rationalism and the shackles of traditional metaphysics,but also enables us to think more deeply about the significance of life existence and the real mission of human beings.
