Research On Wang Fuzhi's "Four Books Notes: Mencius Notes"

Wang Fu-Chih was one of the three major thinkers in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.His writings are huge.Among them,there are many classics,and four classics are the most representative."Si Shu Jian Jie" is one of Wang Fu-Clih's four masterpieces of calligraphy.Among them,"Mencius Jian Jie" is an important book by Wang Fu-Chih to govern Mencius,which was interpreted when he taught his disciples.This book is different from the commonly seen annotations and interpretations of the Scriptures.Because it is based on Wang Fu-Chih's dislike of the popular cultural solutions at the time and was written for beginner writers,from the perspective of the entire content,the discourse and meaning The explanations occupy most of the entire book,and the exegesis is less.This has unique characteristics in Wang Fu-Chih's Mencius works.A comprehensive study of this book is helpful for a more comprehensive understanding of Wang Fu-Chih's Mencius thought,the development of Mencius in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,and the academic trajectory of the Ming and Qing dynasties.The predecessors' researches on Wang Fu-Chih mostly focused on the study of Confucian classics,mainly based on the interpretation and analysis of Wang Fu-Chih's philosophical thoughts.As a representative of Wang Fu-Chih's "Si Shu" most of the researches of scholars focus on the chronological research of "Si Shu" and the overall analysis and summary of "Si Shu" Special analysis and research is made on "Si Shu Jian Jie·Mencius Jian Jie ",so this article is based on detailed analysis of "Si Shu Jian Jie·Mencius Jian Jie",to analyze the important content of ideology and rationale,in order to explore Wang Fu-Chih's Mencius Achievements in quotations.The style of "Si Shu Jian Jie·Mencius Jian Jie" is unique compared to Zhu Xi's "Si Shu Zhang Ju Ji Zhu·Mencius Zhang Ju Ji Zhu" and Wang Fu-Chih's other writings.Looking at it as a whole,the”Si Shu Jian Jie·Mencius Jian Jie" does not record the original "Mencius".Although it is based on the chapters and sections of the "Si Shu Zhang Ju Ji Zhu·Mencius Zhang Ju Ji Zhu" to "Mencius",Wang Fu-Chih only the first few words of each chapter and section are the titles of the chapter and section.It does not analyze chapter by chapter,but only selects the chapters and sections that it considers important to explain,and ignores some chapters and sections.Not as detailed as in Zhu Xi's Annotations,In "Si Shu Jian Jie·Mencius Jian Jian",there are two chapters in chapters:lexical theory and rhetoric.In terms of chapters,Wang Fu-Chih particularly focuses on the analysis of the overall structure of the article,the summary of the main theme of the chapter,and the combing of the context of the article.Attention to the characteristics of Mencius's discourse occupies a relatively high position in the study of Mencius.It is a pity that Wang Fu-Chih omitted some chapters in Mencius and did not analyze them in detail;Wang Fu-Chih's main focus is on the analysis of grammar,syntax,and rhetoric.Wording is the focus of Wang Fu-Chih's rhetoric.In Mencius Jian Jie,Wang Fu-Chih analyzes the whole chapter through the whole chapter,and clicks this direct criticism are helpful for us to understand Wang Fu-Chih's thinking changes in this period.Generally speaking,as one of Wang Fu-Chih's Mencius studies,"Si Shu Jian Jie · Mencius Jian Jie" has unique style characteristics in Wang Fu-Chih's Mencius works.The analysis of "Mencius" in terms of quotations and thoughts helps to understand Wang Fu-Chih's thoughts of governing Mencius in this period;on the other hand,the development of Mencius in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty supplemented and enriched.
