Taoist figure painting is an important branch of religious art with unique national characteristics.It is a painting that contains Taoism and Buddhism.As an important part of figure painting,the historical status of Taoist figure painting in the whole figure painting is other painting subjects.What cannot be replaced and reached.The earliest comprehensive study and discussion of Taoist figure paintings "Xuanhe Painting Book"made detailed records of Taoist figure painters and Taoist figure painting works.The author believes that Taoist figures should include Confucian,Taoism and Buddhism.The fusion of the three religions emerged after the formation of the Southern Zen after the fusion of Buddhism and Confucianism.After two fusions of metaphysics and Confucianism in local culture,Buddhism adapted to Chinese culture and gradually evolved into Chinese culture.Therefore,it evolved The Buddhist culture of China formed paintings with Chinese style,which also met Chinese aesthetic standards,and Taoist paintings came out of it.After the introduction of Buddhism,paintings about Buddha statues were also spread,adding more new themes and new styles to the development of Taoist figure painting.After the Sui and Tang dynasties,Taoist themes and figures began to appear in paintings,such as the Eight Immortals and Zhong Rong.After that,Buddhism and Taoism were divided into the same painting discipline due to cultural integration.The society in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty was a relatively stable state.At this time,most literati painters were more inclined to express freehand,and at this time,religious painting began to decline gradually.Ren Bonian,as an important representative of the maritime painting school in the late Qing Dynasty,has been involved in figures,flowers,birds,and landscapes,and has certain achievements.Among them,his figure paintings are the most prominent and have a profound impact on later generations.Some of his figure paintings are mainly based on Taoist themes,and have their own unique painting style in performance.The Taoist figures in his writings,for example,in the description of Zhong Rong and the elders,he is learning Drawing on the ancients,he also incorporated some western painting methods,which contributed to the formation of his unique painting art style.The formation and development of Ren Bonian's Taoist paintings are inextricably linked to his time and life experience.His thoughts were also influenced by the politics,culture and economy of the time.Figure painting was a relatively rare subject in that period.Ren Bonian's Taoist figure paintings have not been considered as a branch of figure painting in modern times.Therefore,Ren Bonian's figure paintings are rarely considered as a heritage of Taoist figure paintings.It is considered to be the development of the whole figure painting department.This article starts with the study of Ren Bonian's figure painting,focusing on the analysis of the details of the work,combing the development context of Taoist figure painting,combining the social background of Ren Bonian and Ren Bonian's painting history.The specific Taoist figure paintings of the year and the humanistic spirit embodied in the works are specifically analyzed and explored.It is hoped that through a deep interpretation of his Taoist figure paintings,he can better understand Ren Bonian's Taoist figure paintings.The style and characteristics of painting art,explore the spiritual connotation of his Taoist figure painting and its influence on later generations,and make a supplement to the Taoist figure painting in Qing Dynasty.
