The aggression of prisoners has always been the focus of prison guards' attention, and it is also a research hot spot for psychologists.Based on General Aggression Model and the Social Support Buffering Effect Model, this study explores the impact of male prisoners' impulsivity on aggression,as well as the mechanism of moral disengagement and social support. The study used 524 male prisoners in a prison in Guangdong Province as the subjects, and used questionnaires to measure the subjects' aggression, impulsivity, moral disengagement, and social support. The data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software. The findings are as follows:(1)There was a significant positive correlation between male prisoners' aggression and impulsivity and moral disengagement, while there was a significant negative correlation between male prisoners' social support and impulsivity, moral disengagement and aggression.(2)The moral disengagement of male prisoners plays a part of the mediating role between impulsivity and aggression, and the mediating effect of moral disengagement is greater than the direct effect of impulsivity on the aggression of male prisoners.(3)The mediating role of moral disengagement of male prisoners will be moderated by social support.(4)The differences in demographic variables: there are significant differences in male prisoners 'aggression in age, education, marital status, and crime type;there are significant differences in male prisoners' impulsivity in age, education, marital status, crime type, and previous crime situation;there are significant differences in male prisoners' moral disengagement in age, education and previous crime situation;there are significant differences in male prisoners' social support in education, marital status, and previous crime situation. The research conclusion: The impulsivity and moral disengagement of male prisonerscan positively predict the aggression, and social support is an effective protective factor for the impulsive, moral disengagement and aggression of male prisoners. The moral disengagement of male prisoners plays a part in mediating between impulsivity and aggression.Social support can effectively buffer the moral disengagement level and risk of aggression of male prisoners with high moral shirking, and reverse buffer effect on male prisoners with low morality.
