The author has visited dunhuang for several times. The sculptures and murals in dunhuang have exerted a great influence on the author. The use of mineral materials has also opened a fresh page.Especially in the beauty cave in cave no.57,the skin color of bodhisattva and the tone of the wall are so vivid that the Buddha statue seems to walk down from the wall gently. This thin color makes the author shocked. There are grottoes 45,158,217,254 and so on,grottoes in the dense murals, tone unexpectedly so harmonious.Because of my participation in the project of "the status quo of ancient Chinese mural paintings of pearl of the silk road imitated by the national art foundation",the author had the opportunity to study mural paintings in the mogao grottoes again, especially the "The Buddha sent down demons and became a priest" in the 254 grottoes. The decay layer and floating layer of the mural have been grown together with the color layer. The little black monster seen in the picture, and other images under the little monster seen on the scene, are all unified in the black color tone, and this image becomes more rich and layered. There are denudation places on the wall, giving people a strong sense of historical vicissitudes. These parts of the wall skin peeling off and other relatively complete pictures are both opposite and unified in the historical changes, forming a new correlation,so that the picture becomes more rhythmic.Even if the green color of the small monsters used a small green, but also give a person a kind of ancient zhou jade cang run feeling.Even if it is the green used by a small green man or monster,it also gives people a sense of western zhou jade. The details are not visible in the picture. Some areas are treated with a sense of inlay, caving or sculpting, while others have subtle texture differences, not smooth surfaces, and some areas have a granular or velvety texture, all under the surface.Viewer standing within the cave, the wall murals, central column and the zenith and painted sculpture, they are integrated, forming a field full of sense of history, time and space, they interact with each other in this field germinal each other, for the author is a visual feast, attract the author to study its structure, space, and its unique beauty of rebirth. After returning, the author selected a part of the frescoes in the upper left corner of the book "shakya conquered the demons and became the tao" to profile the current situation for half a year, and paid attention to the previous scholars' research on the cave.Secondly, the author describes the creation and historical development of the cave, the content of the mural painting, and the damage experienced by the mural painting, such as the smoke, the uneven ground staff, the peeling of part of the wall skin, the aging of the glue material, and the discoloration of the mural painting. This paper makes a concrete interpretation of the repeated modification of murals in history, and understands the structure and language of the reconstructed murals from the current situation caused by human and natural reasons. Finally, according to the status quo of "rebirth" frescoes, from the perspectives of description, color cognition and viewing mode, the frescoes in this cave are re-examined to seek his inspiration for contemporary art.
