This paper discusses the functional meaning of the special spatial objects, both thematic expression and narrative effect, parses that the specific space involves in the narrative process in what ways, studies text's space form how to construct the narrative text.The first chapter mainly discusses the spatial construction of xu's novels: "hometown" and "foreign land" space.
