Paul Klee(1879-1940),a german-swiss artist,was a particularly important figure in the development of modern art.It has not only exerted an important influence on western modern painting art in the 20 th century,but also exerted an influence on modern architecture,design and other fields.The change of Paul klee’s painting style is due to the change from the expression of inner feelings to the cognition of science and nature.In this paper,according to Paul klee from the very beginning the planarity of painting development of abstract painting,and finally generates meaningful symbol style of painting to the art context,studies the reasons for the formation of Paul klee painting language,by consulting relevant literature,using the image analysis method to analyze its artistic language characteristics,and combined with relevant theory to explore Paul klee original reason of artistic creation and artistic conception.
