Research On Virtual Reality From The Perspective Of Marxist Materialism

Virtual Reality is a three-dimensional virtual world created by a computer system in which human beings can interact with virtual information and generate virtual feedback that simulates human feelings.Virtual Reality is a comprehensive technology,involving visual optics,environment modeling,information interaction,image and sound processing,system integration and other technologies.Nowadays,with its wide application in education,medical treatment,culture and other fields,Virtual Reality Technology has attracted great attention from all walks of life.As it may cause philosophical and social problems,Virtual Reality Technology has also been discussed in the academic circle from various perspectives,such as Philosophical Realism and Epistemology.Our question is whether the Virtual Reality is virtual or actual.According to the Marxist Philosophical Conception of Matter,Matter is an objective reality which is not transferred by the will of human beings.The world is unified at material.Using the Marxist Philosophical Conception of Matter as a theoretical tool,there is no doubt that Virtual Reality is Matter.Firstly,from the point of view of the subject of Virtual Reality,we can regard both human and soft agent as practice subjects.People belongs to matter clearly.Soft agent is also a substance.The creation of soft agent depends on person's creative activities,while the update and the development of the soft agent reflects the material forms.Secondly,from the object of Virtual Reality,the material foundation,material carrier and its existence space are characterized by material things.Lastly,from the perspective of the intermediary involved in Virtual Reality,human-machine interface is the product of human social practice which also included in the Marxist Material Concept.The confirmation of the material essence of Virtual Reality enriches the connotation of Marxist Material Concept and highlights the dialectical unity between Virtual Reality and the real world in theory.It also provides some theoretical justification for the development of Virtual Reality in practice.
