The Harmonious Dimension Of The Law Of Unity Of Opposites And Its Modern Enlightenment

The law of unity of opposites is the core of Marxism dialectical materialism,which contains profound harmonious thought.The solution of the principal contradiction and the construction of a harmonious society in our new era lie in the law of unity of opposites.This paper explains the harmonious dimension of the law of unity of opposites and its modern enlightenment from the following aspects.The first part reviews the theoretical development and practice of the law of unity of opposites.Although there are rich ideas of unity of opposites in ancient Greek philosophy and Chinese philosophy,the development and maturity of dialectics is mainly in German classical philosophy,and the law of unity of opposites is also clearly and thoroughly explained in it.Whether it is "the absolute unity of reason" put forward by Kant,or the Fichte's "unity of self and non self",or "harmony" in the syllogism of Hegel's philosophy,or the practice of Marx and Engels on the law of unity of opposites show the harmony in the law of unity of opposites.The second part clarifies the development steps and harmonious dimensions of the law of unity of opposites.Hegel who made the most detailed and systematic elaboration of the law of unity of opposites and expounded the three basic steps from abstract identity to difference and opposition and then to the unity of opposites,reveals that the harmonious dimension is contained in the law of unity of opposites.The harmonious dimension of the law of unity of opposites will be understood from its connotation and dynamic mechanism.The harmony in the law of unity of opposites is the continuous development of things on the basis of complexity,and it is a dynamic process.Its dynamic mechanism has three main dimensions: Fighting is the driving force;openness is security;functionality is the key.Harmony can only be achieved when all three perspectives reach a certain level.The third part explains the enlightenment of the harmonious dimension in the law of unity of opposites on the construction of a harmonious society in China.First,the harmonious dimension of the law of unity of opposites has a certain enlightening effect on our understanding of a harmonious society.The construction of a harmonious society is based on the complexity of social contradictions,so we need to treat the social contradictions dialectically.In addition,we should recognize that a harmonious society is actually a comprehensive,harmonious and sustainable society.Secondly,the harmonious dimension of the law of unity of opposites has certain enlightenment on the dynamic mechanism of building a harmonious society.(1)The construction of a harmonious society should be driven by the efforts of the people.Without the efforts of people,there won't be the development of society(2)The construction of a harmonious society requires our country to open to the outside world,because only by opening to the outside world can we maintain our own vitality and competitiveness.(3)The construction of harmonious society requires all elments of our society to play the greatest function to make the society to be an efficient and harmonious society.
