A Study Of Speculative Words Like "V Is Not Allowed"

This thesis selects three “V bu zhun” that are used in modern Chinese with a higher frequency: “shuo bu zhun”,“bao bu zhun” and “zhi bu zhun” as the research object.This paper uses cognitive linguistics and other related theories,combined with the vocabulary data,describing and analyzing them in three aspects: syntax,semantics and pragmatics,and analyzing their differences and connections through the contrast of the three.In order to have a more comprehensive and in-depth study of the three-syllable structure “V bu zhun”The first chapter,we focused on the modern phrase “shuo bu zhun” and we think there are three isomorphous structures in modern Chinese.The first one is a phrase,it means “the pronunciation is not accurate,the expression is not clear”.The moving phrase “shuo bu zhun2” expresses “uncertain” meaning.The adverb “shuo bu zhun4” express “speculation”.The adverb is mainly located at the beginning of the sentence,can also do insertion.It has the highest frequency of use,the highest degree of vocabulary.The third and fourth chapters described and analyzed the “bao bu zhun” and “zhi bu zhun”.They have the similar development stage with the “shuo bu zhun”,but its frequency of use is lower.Conjectural modal adverbs “bao bu zhun2” and "zhi bu zhun3" are mainly located at the beginning of the sub-sentence,mainly used to state the negative proposition of sentence association.Conjectural modal adverbs “zhi bu zhun” use frequency is low,the verb action meaning is the strongest in words than the other two “V bu zhun.The fifth chapter introduces the difference and similarities of the three parties,it can be seen that the “V bu zhun” of the three-syllable structure contains three meanings as a whole:1.The verb itself and the “bu zhun” combination bring about the truth 2.Uncertainty 3.Speculation.Speculation adverbs from the development of the moving phrase have a transitional phase: “V bu zhun” +a time-called phrase in the form of a question+a small sentence." But at the same time,three different “V bu zhun” in syntactic semantics show personality differences: 1.The original meaning of the verb is in the “V bu zhun” structure 2.Adverb “shuo bu zhun” can be used as an insert,can be used in question sentence 3.They are mainly used for negative propositional attitudes,but the proportion of “shuo bu zhun” for positive propositions is higher than the other two.In addition,adverb “V bu zhun” has the use of highlighting the focus of information and easing the tone.
