To See The Jurchen Culture Of The East China Sea From The Perspective Of Manchu

The Northeastern Jurchen lived in the east of the Sikhote Moutains and along the coast of the Sea of Japan,and they were part of the ancestors of Manchu and Manchu community.The culture of the Northeastern Jurchen has its own generate factors and unique connotation,and had an impact on the Manchu culture,the research on it is helpful to clarify the source and constituent factors of Manchu culture.There are few records about the Northeastern Jurchen in the extant historical books,but the study of the works about the Northeastern Jurchen in the Manchu Storytelling department can make up for the shortage of historical materials.This paper will be based on the Northeastern Jurchen culture of Manchu Storytelling —Umesiben Mama,the Story of Donghai Woji and the record of the East China Sea—with historical data,and study on the culture of the Northeastern Jurchen comprehensively.There are both external and internal factors in the formation of the Northeastern Jurchen culture.External factors include the natural environment and the influence of other national cultures,the natural environment of densely covered mountains,forests and many rivers has brought up the production mode of the Northeastern Jurchen,which is mainly based on fishing and hunting,and the living mode of nesting in summer and cave dwelling in winter,and the transportation mode of both land and water,the culture of Northeastern Jurchen has become more colorful due to the communication with Han culture,Mongolian culture,Koguryo and Korean culture.In addition,the cognition of the Northeastern Jurchen to the world,which is the internal motivation,also promotes the formation of the Northeastern Jurchen culture.The Northeastern Jurchen culture connotation is rich and colorful,Shamanism is a common belief among the Northeastern Jurchen,music and dance imitate the form of all things in nature,convey emotion and information,the marriage custom has experienced the process from disarray marriage,close kin marriage to intermarriage outside the tribe,which reflects the social and historical changes of the Northeastern Jurchen,there have been various funeral modes of martyr,earth burial,sky burial and cremation,the Northeastern Jurchen culture has the characteristics of fishing and hunting culture,and contains the factors of Marine culture.Culture is not static,the Northeastern Jurchen culture changes with the development of society and history,but it is also inheritable and continuous.
