After the turning of Heidegger’s thoughts, the importance of space gradually emerged in his later thoughts. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to understand the space problem as a core logical clue of the development of Heidegger’s philosophy,so as to comprehensively think and reconstruct Heidegger’s philosophy from the perspective of space. This paper first sorts out the discussion about space in the history of philosophy, and summarizes two approaches to think about space: the atomist’s category of void and Aristotle’s category of place. On this basis, through analyzing the main connotation of Dasein, the conclusion is drawn that Dasein is the synthesis and transcendence of the two paths. After the turning of Heidegger’s thought, the two categories that can best represent the operating mode of being itself are aletheia and logos.Compared with the previous period, the connotation of the concept of aletheia has changed greatly. The core of this change lies in emphasizing the original status of concealment. This means that the context of space in Heidegger’s philosophy is no longer the Existentialism but has changed into the ontology. Therefore, the key point is to investigate how the concept of earth reflects the rule of aletheia, and how the space concept in the context of ontology is different from the space concept in the context of the Existentialism, that is,how the relationship between the earth and the world is.At last, the conclusion is drawn that the earth and the world are in the relationship of mutual composition, the earth without the world is just a barren land, while the world without the earth only exists in the otherworld. Finally, the paper answers the question of how the earth as an ontological space is possible through the differentiation of Seyn. The other key point is to discuss how logos defines the concept of site and how logos embodies its aggregation characteristics in the concept of site. Then from the perspective of identity and difference to demonstrate and answer: site as an ontological space how possible. Finally,by examining the relationship between earth and site,we can draw a conclusion that in Heidegger’s later philosophy, there is indeed a whole and self-exact space thought.Heidegger’s space thought contains rich practical thoughts and breaks through the traditional way of dealing with space problems in field metaphysics and provides a possibility for the mutual belonging of man and Seyn and for the interaction between cultures. But he did not fully release the connotation of existentialism, which contained in the space, and threw himself into the turn in a hurry, which caused the connotation of existentialism to dissipate prematurely in this process.
