At this stage,the strong development of new media technology has brought new impetus and new challenges to the construction of popular culture with Chinese characteristics.On the one hand,with the new communication environment,new media has created a variety of forms such as social networking sites,self-media,and mass group participation,which has brought about changes in the forms of popular culture and entertainment,and the value expression of popular culture has become more abundant.The increasing participation of subjects has injected new impetus into the construction of popular culture in my country in the new era.On the other hand,there are also many problems in the construction of Chinese popular culture under the background of new media: such as the unbalanced development between popular culture and other cultures,the development of popular culture has a serious tendency to vulgarization,and the strong impact of western popular culture under new media..Facing these new challenges,we must continue to use scientific theories to guide the orderly development of popular culture,develop new media to promote the construction of popular culture carriers,and continue to improve the rule of law on the Internet and improve the management of popular culture to further promote the construction of popular culture with Chinese characteristics.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly elaborates the basic theories of new media and popular culture,and clarifies the ins and outs of the concepts of fresh media and popular culture.The second chapter analyzes the current situation of the development of popular culture with Chinese characteristics under the background of new media,and tells the new appearance and new pattern of the development of popular culture with Chinese characteristics under the background of fresh media.The third chapter focuses on the problems in the construction of Chinese popular culture under the background of new media.With the new era background and new media environment,Chinese popular culture has a rare opportunity for development,but it also faces unprecedented difficulties and fierce competition for internal cultural development.,Foreign culture is waiting for the opportunity,what kind of development dilemma is China's popular culture falling into.The fourth chapter is the path of building a popular culture with Chinese characteristics in the background of new media.
