Pu Xinyu's painting process is divided into early and late stages by crossing Taiwan in 1949.His early paintings started with the four kings of the clan system,and gradually realized that the four kings used his pen to be "less implicit",and he switched to learning the style of the Northern School,combining the two schools of the South and the North,so that they can be integrated.After crossing Taiwan in 1949,he officially entered the mature period of his painting.Due to various reasons,his painting style has undergone obvious changes.The main manifestation is that the brush and ink are more concise,showing three styles in general: one is the thick-brush style painting,and the other is the painting style.It is the sketch style painting,and the third is the ghost style painting.First of all,Pu Xinyu's rough-brush style painting was produced when he traveled south to Taiwan after he became a survivor of the Qing Dynasty,and his heart became more and more lonely and lonely.The specific expression is that his works often use a river and two banks style composition,and his brush is strong.;Secondly,it explained that the formation of Pu Xinyu's sketch style painting was due to the embarrassment of the living environment after crossing the Taiwan,coupled with the emotional dissatisfaction,had to choose not to bear,the painting at this time is more inclined to express the self,so Most of the works created are just a few improvisations.In terms of artistic characteristics,it is expressed in corner and branch-like composition,with a simple brush,and the picture reflects the reality and the reality;because of Pu Xinyu's disdain for the powerful in his later years and his love for strange and strange novels since childhood,the time to create in his later years is also In this context,his ghost-shen style paintings came into being.The layout of the paintings is mostly expressed as independent ghosts and gods or accompanied by mountains and rocks.The brush is sharp and full of ink,and the emotions are mostly expressed by ghosts.To illustrate his inner thoughts and feelings that are not in harmony with the world,and take Zhong Kui as an example,he uses Zhong Kui to explore his mood in his later years and uses this to analyze the similarities and differences between Zhong Kui and his contemporary painters in terms of image and scenery.The three styles of painting in the late period made the literary interest formed by Pu Xinyu's early paintings become stronger in the later period,and also had a certain impact on the painting style of his disciples.They also became the inheritance and development of the "Pu School."
