Today,the study of regional social history and Confucian history is in full swing.It is not only conducive to the deepening of academic and cultural research in Gansu and northwest regions,but also to the cultural communication along the silk road And it is very helpful to study the spread of Confucianism in the border areas and the process of people's identification with the Central Plains culture,so as to promote the dynamic research of "center" and "edge",and better understand and identify with "China" from a regional perspective.In the Qin Dynasty and the early Han Dynasty,only the eastern part of Helong area(Longyou)was controlled by the central government,and it has always been the military front to guard against nomadic people in the northwest,so it has a strong trend of advocating martial arts.With the westward development of the political and military power of the Empire in the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty,the frontier front of the northwest frontier of the Han Dynasty moved westward again and again,and military fortresses were built in the Hexi area,so the social environment of Longyou was relatively stable.Therefore,with the geographical advantage of being close to the developed area of Guanzhong Confucian culture and the traffic advantage of being on the main road from Guanzhong to Hexi and western regions,influenced by the Confucian laws and decrees of the central dynasty,under the guidance of Confucian officials,and under the spread of immigrants,businessmen and envoys,Confucianism gradually gained rich accumulation and rapid development in Helong area.Around the time of the Han Dynasty,local Confucianism began to rise in Helong.During the Eastern Han Dynasty,there were many famous scholars and great Confucians in Helong.At this time,the powerful families in Helong changed from advocating military achievements and force to advocating cultural Confucianism.Under the guidance of Confucianism,he long scholars made outstanding achievements in Confucian classics,history and literature.At this time,there was a trend of Confucianism regional pattern of Longyou and Hexi.In the Eastern Han Dynasty,the rapid growth and development of Confucianism in Helong caused a fierce conflict between the old and the new cultures,which led to the division of political and military groups in Helong,the pillar of the Western Empire.The school of admiring Confucianism,represented by huangfusong,abided by the idea of loyalty to the monarch,led the Helong army to wipe out the Huangjin uprising,and ignored the eunuch's political disaster due to the restriction of etiquette and law;the school of belittling Confucianism and chivalry,actively striving for the Central Plains,represented by Dong Zhuo,traversed Zhongzhou,which in fact led to the destruction of the Eastern Han Dynasty.In the Western Jin Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms period,after long-term accumulation and development,Helong area became one of the more developed areas of Confucianism in China,showing great vitality and vigor.There appeared famous scholars and great Confucians with national significance.The political status of Helong Confucians generally began to move towards the central political core from the previous long-term status of local officials.When the "Wuhu" entered the Central Plains,Zhongzhou was rigid,and Confucianism lost its vitality in the war.However,Helong area continued the tradition of Confucianism in Han and Jin Dynasties,maintained the prosperity of Confucianism,and became the center of Confucianism in northern China at that time,attracting some scholars from the Central Plains to migrate.People used to think that after the Yongjia rebellion,the Central Plains scholars moved to Helong,which promoted the development of Confucianism in Helong.In fact,the prosperity of Confucianism in Helong area is mainly the result of hundreds of years of Confucian academic accumulation.In the Western Jin Dynasty,Helong was one of the developed areas of Confucianism in China.When the North was caught in the war,Helong gained geographical advantages and was relatively stable.Therefore,when other developed areas of Confucianism were destroyed in the war,Helong still had a unique scenery and continued to be the only place of Confucianism in Han and Jin Dynasties The achievements and brilliance of Confucianism attracted the Central Plains scholars.Confucianism in the Central Plains changed from "pragmatic" to "pragmatic" between Han and Jin Dynasties.However,because of the lag of "edge" compared with "center",Helong's Confucianism development style has always adhered to the practical and utilitarian atmosphere.On the contrary,Buddhism not only gained a lot in the belief world of Helong,but also penetrated into the intellectual circles of Helong,shaking the exclusive position of Confucianism in Helong,forming an academic pattern of dual development of Confucianism and Buddhism.In 376 AD and 439 ad,a large number of local Confucians in Helong moved to the East under the compulsory requirements of the pre Qin and Northern Wei regimes.From then on,to the Sui,Tang and Five Dynasties,few influential scholars appeared in Helong area,where the heroes gathered in the Han and Jin Dynasties,and the Confucianism in Helong declined.If we say that the motive force of Confucianism rising in Helong area in the Han Dynasty mainly came from the powerful external force of the Han Empire,that is,the strong cultural output of the central government,then the prominence of Confucianism in Helong area in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,on the contrary,mainly came from Helong area.Compared with Zhongzhou,it has less war and social stability.In addition,it is also related to the inherent post development effect of the marginal zone,that is,there is a time gap between the development of Confucianism in the marginal zone and that in the central zone,and the marginal zone is always catching up with the central zone.In other words,it is precisely because of the turmoil and the war that the development of Confucianism in the marginal zone has an opportunity to catch up with or even surpass that in the central zone.The narrowing of the difference between the development level of Confucianism in the marginal zone and that in the central zone is closely related to the stagnation of Confucianism in the central zone.For the central region,war and turbulence are disasters.For the marginal region,they sometimes mean opportunities and the concentration of talents,education and other resources.
