The Use Of Symbolism In Dance Drama Creation

This paper takes symbolism as the research object,and takes the small dance drama Superman as an example to illustrate the practical and theoretical research of symbolism in dance drama creation.This paper first summarizes the concept,characteristics and types of symbolism,so as to clarify the two components of symbolism.Secondly,it highlights the importance and universality of symbolism in artistic creation by studying the use of symbolism in other artistic categories.At the same time,by comparing the use of symbolism in other fields,the characteristics of symbolism used in dance are discussed,and the practical application of modern Chinese dance dramas is summarized.Then,combining with my degree work Superman,this paper analyzes the specific practice and effect presentation of symbolism in these three aspects from the perspectives of dance movements,dance props and dance time and space.In the end,I observed and summarized the practical achievements of predecessors in the application of symbolism in dance drama creation,combined with the practical experience accumulated in the creation of degree works,tried to sort out and conclude the methods and operating procedures of symbolism,and elaborated the significance and value of symbolism in dance drama creation.
