Japanese Resources And Zhang Chengzhi's Literary Writing

Zhang Chengzhi is an unique writer who has a strong desire for freedom,his heart and body are always on the road.Besides Inner Mongolia Grassland,Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang and Loess Plateau,he has already been to Japan,Spain,Canada,Mexico,etc.He wants to learn something from these alien cultures.Among them,Zhang Chengzhi keeps the most intimate links with Japan,he studied in Toyo Bunko from 1983 to 1984,and worked in Japan from 1990 to 1993.In 2006,he did a cultural survey in Japan for two months.Zhang Chengzhi has rich and multivariate Japanese experience,he expressed his cognition and emotion of Japan in his novels and essays,obviously,he has a Japanese complex.This thesis attempts to untangle the relationship between Zhang Chengzhi's literary world and Japanese culture,analyze the forming background and transformation of his Japanese complex.Moreover,this thesis intends to explore his value standpoint behind the context.Chapter 1 will analyze Zhang Chengzhi's emotion of Japan in 1980 s and 1990 s centering on his novels,such as Golden Ranch,A Ballad of Black Goat and Golden Grassland.During this period,he described the experience of students studying in Japan and sung the praises of Left wing.Generally,Zhang Chengzhi's emotion of Japan was chaotic at that time.Chapter 2 will focus on Japanese images in his essays,taking Japanese message as the turning point,these essays could be divided into two periods.In the earlier stage,most of the essays were subjective criticisms,he poured out a bad mood when he worked in Japan.After returning to China and doing a cultural survey,he formed a hard-headed view of Japan.Chapter 3 will discuss the influence of Okabayashi Nobuyasu on Zhang Chengzhi's literature.Okabayashi Nobuyasu is a famous Japanese folk singer,his songs and personality produced a profound effect on Zhang Chengzhi's literary road and forms.Meanwhile,this chapter will analyze the process and the cause of the emotional change of Zhang Chengzhi.Generally speaking,his attitude towards Japan demonstrates his national standpoint,conception of justice and humanitarian spirit.Chapter 4 will expound the forming background of Zhang Chengzhi's Japanese complex.On the one hand,he has an emotional identification with Japan's left,on the other,his Japanese experience was complex.As a result,he has a double attitude of love and hates to Japan.Chapter 5 will compare Zhang Chengzhi's writings about Japan with the other literature in Modern and contemporary Chinese Literature.His thought is the heritage and development of Lu Xun,bringing to people some new enlightenments in the field of nation consciousness,Chinese civilization and cultural coexistence.
