A Study Of Material Life And Folk-custom Vocabulary In "Qinqiang" And Its Dimensional Translation

Folk words reflect the characteristics of a nation 's language and local characteristics,Folk words of material life come from daily life,w hich reflect different nationalities' eating habits,living environment,and living style.Therefore,it is of great significance to learn different nationalities' culture in studyin g folk vocabularies of material life.The novel Qin Cavity is written by Jia Pingwa who won Mao Dun Literature award,it contains folk words of rich material life.The classifi cation can be divided into food,clothing,residential buildings and transport and so o n.This paper mainly studies on the using characteristics of material life folk vocab ularies and Uygur translation ways from page 1 to page251 of novel Qin Cavity,and a nalyzes translation strategies and methods of folk words in the process of Uygur tran slation.This study first describes the function of material folk lore,and classifies materi al folk words,then carries on the Uygur translation processing to the classified materi al life folk words.
