In the art market system,the intermediary institution is connected to the art providers and artwork purchased hid in the hub.Intermediaries can provide sales channels and market space for art suppliers,and can also bring art resources with a variety of choices for art buyers and collectors.The active and prosperous intermediaries are an important link to ensure the stable operation of the art market.After the Revolution of 1911,China’s political,economic and social landscape has undergone tremendous changes.As a modern economic and trade center,Shanghai’s art market is expanding rapidly,and art intermediaries are flourishing.Traditional paper fan shops,antique and painting shops are innovating,and new intermediaries such as exhibition halls,art associations,and art brokers are increasing in number and various forms.The art market presents a prosperous situation of Chinese and Western development and coexistence of old and new.I choose an art agency in Shanghai during the period of the Republic of China as the research object,aims to explore the city under the background of economy and commodity markets,art intermediary generation and development of historical evolution,and in Shanghai "Duo Yun Xuan","Jin Shi calligraphy and painting club at sea",for example,for all types of art agency management mode and operation mode of analysis and comparison of all,Therefore,it seeks for the law of the development of art intermediaries and their dual influence on art creation and marketing,and provides theoretical support for the construction and steady development of modern art market.
