As one of the important subjects in compulsory education,primary school English is also an important stage to cultivate students' interest in language learning.Textbooks,as the medium of teachers' teaching,are the carrier of the implementation of the new curriculum standards.There are also many problems in the use of teachers' real teaching textbooks.With the reform of the new curriculum and the diversification of textbook versions,teachers' traditional single way of using textbooks has been unable to meet the needs of students' continuous improvement of learning.In the face of the diversified versions of textbooks,the constantly updated requirements for the use of textbooks in the curriculum standards,and the rich and diverse network resources,how do primary school English teachers make rational use of textbooks today?This paper takes the use of textbooks as the starting point,carefully collects and collates the relevant literature,determines the content composition,content depth and unit column section of the textbooks,selects English teachers in the internship school as the interviewees,collects data through interviews and teaching case analysis,and analyzes the current situation of the use of English textbooks by English teachers in grade three of the school.Through the analysis,it is found that there are three problems in the use of textbooks for the third grade English teachers of H primary school: only selecting part of the teaching content to carry out teaching,single vocabulary and grammar teaching method,and lack of innovation in unit teaching form.On this basis,this paper puts forward some effective suggestions on the use of the Oxford version of primary school English textbooks from three aspects: teachers themselves,strengthening the basic teaching of vocabulary and grammar knowledge in textbooks,and innovating the use of textbooks.
